) and she wants to me to hand over the golden ticket.
she wants confirmation either in writing or verbally to a third party, that she is "scripturally free" to remarry.. i have managed for years now to avoid any judicial action and my jw family members still associate with me, but that all could come to a screeching halt if i give her what she wants.. the only bright side is she totally robbed me on the divorce; if she gets married i am at least off the hook for "spousal maintenance", that would mean potentially thousands of dollars in my pocket.... .
So...if you are such a nice guy, why are you divorced? Never mind..NOMB. :)
There is being NICE and there is not being able to unring the bell once you sign something like that. And she isnt going to care the consquences you now have to live with from others. She will have what she wants.

if you've been reading here for long, this won't come as news to you.. i don't have my elder book with me right now, but here's the gist of what it says about what the elders should do when they find out a jw talked to a dfed family member.. 'generally, disfellowshiping is not necessary when a congregation member speaks to a close relative who is dfed.

that is a paraphrase, but i'm pretty sure that "justifying of the wrong course" is close to verbatim.. two questions:.
I think all you need do is ask Ray Franz if you can be disfellowshipped for hanging around with a DFd person. He is THE example and everything else is downhill from there.
If they want to get you...they will.

Tell her to get the divorce from you for sure...and go ahead and marry this guy. She will do 6 months of being DFd and then be right back in having her cake and eating it too.
Why should you GIVE this to her?? Their stupid rules dont apply to you any more.
six months ago i had never heard about jehovah's witnesses.
i was at the chinese buffet by my self.
he came to me and asked why i was alone and how can a girl like me not have a partner.
The first JW I ever met picked me up in a BAR...we slept together that night, and many nights afterwards. But during all this he was witnessing to me and brought a Live Forever book and a green bible over and while he was sleeping with me he was counting his TIME. He took me to the District Assembly and warned me all the way there NOT to tell ANYONE we were together! He said I am going to introduce you to people as my study and you arent to tell ANYTHING ELSE about our relationship! I thought he was ashamed of me! He didnt bother to explain WHY he was asking me to be deceitful. But upon meeting his parents his father said "So YOURE the latest eh?" He was born in the "truth", his father was an elder, his mom of the annointed. and he thought he was ALLLLL that baby and seduced and slept with SEVERAL women...most of them young and vulnerable, and easily swayed women with low self esteem.
He had me and several other women going at the same time. The problem he created was that he was teaching me that what he was doing was AGAINST HIS RELIGION and so I turned him in....and myself. But because I was not baptized they could only privately reprove me. Him...disfellowshipped along with about 25 other people in this ring of JWs living double lives and covering for each other. Yeah they were REALLY high up there at the Kingdom Hall, ministerial servants and elders kids and pioneers...they were GOOD at deception! After 10 years he was reinstated and promptly got caught online running an S&M ring with JWs all over the country online. I caught him agan...turned him in again...and he said his only regret was that "now nobody is going to come to my Superbowl party!"
Bad seeds baby...using the religion as a cover for bad behavior. Let his sorry ass go. And before you take your leave, write a letter to the presiding overseer and tell him what you went through in case it happens again with another victim. Then they will have their "two witnesses" and can stop him.

we mutually ended studies today, i think my two witnesses realised that they were losing more ground than they gained :-s.. .
eep, i never set out to upset them, but i think they fear they're losing their faith.. .
Lesson to anyone "doing a Bible study" with Jehovahs Witnesses....if they wont study JUST the Bible with you, and use ANY Bible YOU choose...its not a Bible study. Instead what they are doing is using their OWN indoctrination materials and recruiting you. They have no interest whatsoever in your salvation. You are merely a way to report hours, and then possibly get them a part on the Circuit Assembly bragging about their "progress towards baptism" with you.

my husband and i thought they were crazy.
they sold most of what they could sell, bailed on paying the rent, and broke their lease.
And they never thought to "mention" that the door frame came off?
i was raised as a jw and have several family members who are witnesses, including my mother.
while i love and respect her very much i was very resentful of being raised in "the truth".
there are several reasons but the main one is the way i was "counseled" and ultimately publically pointed out as a bad associate.
Yes Crisis of Conscience by Ray Franz...nephew of the ex president of the WTS Fred Franz. It saved me and inumerable others when we could FEEL there was something wrong but didnt have the wherewithall to prove it somehow. And the internet has brought the ex members of this cult together like nothing else could. A development even the Great Wizard of Oz...the Society...hadnt anticipated and cannot fight. No matter how many times they threaten their members.

In any event...it was nice of you to have helped. Not sure I would have been that charitable considering they were trying to defraud the landlord out of the rent and then want back IN? Um...no.
I dont think they are gone though. They found a softy in you and I spect theyll be back.
