the jw's are quick to tell you that when jehovah has finished kicking the ass of those who do not acknowledge the teachings of the watchtowers governing body in new york state, that those who survive will live forever in a restored paradise on earth.

the same goes for those who are resurrected during the 1000 year reign of jesus and survive satan being let loose "for a little while" at the end.. they are also quick to tell you that everything will be just as it was for adam and eve before the latter decided she needed a fruit fix and then got her hubby high on it as well.. and when you view the illustrations in their publications showing what they view this paradise to be, it shows a world of lush color.

the deep greens of all the trees and grass, the clean blue skies, puffy white clouds and tables covered in a plethora of fresh fruits and vegetables representing just about every major color.

Donny, interesting thread, but you clearly haven't thought this through.

Look again at the artwork at the end of your opening post - It contains CHILDREN.

Of course all of the perfect faithful J-Dubs/resurrected ones will be naked, but if the F&DS print literature with naked, smiling children it will surely attract paedophiles to the Organization.

The congregations would quickly become a paedo's paradise!

I enjoy their videos.

You can see how genuinely happy they are to be free of the JW cult.

They are enthusiastic and only want to help others make informed choices.

I tip my hat to any ex-JW that has the strength to go public on a platform as universally available as YouTube.

I'd like to think one day I'd have the same strength as displayed by Mike & Kim, 'John Cedars', JW Struggle, etc.

Well done to the lot of them.

100%.

I had doubts about some other teachings, but I really did think the earthly paradise was a reality-in-waiting.

Just Curious About Something

sorry,couldn't think of a better title for this post,without it being long.. i was thinking this morning,if ex-jws, who were born into the group less likely to join another religion after leaving.

vs. the witnesses who belonged to a church before joining the religion.. from my own prespective,being raised a witness,i have no intention of joining any religion.

and it seems that born-ins are less likely to join a religion after leaving the cult.. in my own experience,i think it's religious burn-out to tell the truth.

I wasn't a born-in JW.

I was 'searching', got contacted just before my 19th birthday, baptized 18 months later.

Exited quickly after 22 years.

I cannot forsee a time when I will ever belong to another religious group.

I'm currently very open-minded about who/what's 'out there'.

I'm still searching for spiritual knowledge/awareness.

But this time, I accept that I'll never find an ultimate 'true religion'.

Vidiot has just reminded me of something else we have in common.

JWSurvey helped me enormously & my faith also went from 100% to 0% in one afternoon.

That was November 2013.

I can honestly say that I've never been happier in all my life, than I am right now.

You may feel like you want to fast forward your life by 6 months.

Hang on in there.

You are not alone and never will be on this forum.
