It sounds like there is a conflict going on between the internal lambsbottom, and the external lambsbottom. (Ha ha, that sounds disgusting. Maybe you need to see a vetinary surgeon!)

The internal lambsbottom is the real you, who knows "it's the right choice" not to go to the DC.

The external lambsbottom is the person you are projecting to the people around you, who feels "lonely and left out" because you are not conforming to the group-think.

When the internal and the external become the same, you will find peace within yourself.

I hope that made some sense. I'm not sure it did. I know what I'm trying to say but finding it difficult to explain.

Either way, it sounds like you and the spouse are heading in the right direction.

Now, at last, you really are turning onto on "the road to life".

A few bad apples hey?

a witness couple just called on me.

they know i have'nt been to the hall for a few months but have no idea that i am "off reservation" in more ways than one.. they called by to tell me they that due to the "unloving spirit" in our.

congregation they will be going to another hall from now on.. the husband has been having ongoing "issues" with the cobe for some time ( iow,he hates his guts).. they feel that if they move to another cong where the people are nicer everything will be ok. (yeah, right).

Now's a good time to sow seeds of doubt in order to help others to wake up. It should come across as sincere.

Once you're labelled an 'apostate' their defenses will go up and anything you say will likely be ineffective.

Jehovah didn't even shun Satan (Job chapters 1 & 2).

Jesus didn't shun Satan either (Matthew chapter 4).

We 'apostates' must be worse than the devil himself!

You're currently denied access to your family, but you sound strong and positive.

Despite all of that you describe yourself as "free".

That's great to hear. I feel exactly the same, yet for years I had a phobia of what bad things could happen to me if I were to ever leave "Jehovah's organisation".

You descibe yourself as 'sentient, able to make your own decisions'. They're not qualities that a JW should possess. It was probably only a matter of time before you worked it out for yourself. Good for you.

towards the end of last year, the witnesses in scotland had their own assembly hall opened in the town of livingston, near edinburgh the capital.. this was achieved no doubt by blood, sweat, and tears by many over a very long period - as well as by donations of witnesses from all over scotland and its islands, not forgetting the levy per publisher imposed on all the congregations in the guise of "donations"!.

If the rank-and-file were to become aware of how big the surplus is, donations would noticeably dry up.

When I was in 'the truth' (sic) it would've certainly stopped me from contributing for the forseeable future.

In the 4 years recorded in the link, the Income is a total of £634,026.

The Expenditure is £29,279.

Assuming a bank balance of NIL at the start of these 4 years gives a healthy profit of £604,747.

Shame on them.

Come on Charities Commission. DO SOMETHING.

I used to love to read the prophecies of Kings of North/South and speculate about identities.

I concluded that the King of the North would turn out to be the UN. I came to this conclusion because it appeared that the unfulfilled part of the prophecy appeared to show that both Kings would have a common interest in ridding the earth of true worshippers, rather than continuing to attack each other.

According to the Revelation book, the UN is clearly going to play a huge role in banning religion worldwide.

Recently I realised that I wasn't in 'the Truth', that there is no 'Truth'.

Now, I'm in the process of untangling all of the indoctrination of 22 years.

Therefore, I currently understand NOTHING.

As a JW, world events never used to give me anxiety, because I 100% believed it would all be ok in the end.

Now, I have no idea what the future holds, which is a sad part about realising TTATT.
