  I see what you're saying Desirous but he stated that he just wanted out and to not deal with them or try to get around anything. That's why I just suggested being who you are, stating what you believe and let them do what they want.

  do jehovahs witnesses feel that they are the only people who will be saved?.

  many millions who lived in centuries past and who werent jehovahs witnesses will have an opportunity for salvation.

  the bible explains that in gods promised new world, there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

  Yea I love seeing their FAQ completely ignore the question and try to get around it as much as possible. Almost all of their questions are true and yet they try to redefine wording.

  It's funny too because all their FAQ is what people think of them. They're the only ones that don't feel that way.

  Bible says money is the root of all evil and yet JW can't work with out it.

  If the bible is real it is for small christian groups that do their best to live by it's standards how fits their conscience. None of this multimillionaire organization printing it's own materials telling you what is wrong and right.

  If judgment day comes Jw and groups like them will be saying "look at the powerful works we preformed in your name" while the small humble christian groups are saved and people just trying to be good all around.

  when they so cleverly predicted to us all that the world would turn against them, something that has not happened despite over a 100 years of taunting power and opposing religious figures, now it is likely to begin, they failed to mention that it would be due to rampant paedophilia in 'gods earthly organisation'.what a wholesome enviroment to grow up in and raise a child.. we have heard it said many times here that the jw's won't last as they are so entrenched in trends, so opposite to modern human progress, culture and society, they stand out as more extremist and inhumane by the year, mocked regularly in the media now.

  Who would have though, big A would be caused by JW touching kids!

  For some reason when/if Jesus comes, I don't think he'll be fighting for JW. It's funny hearing all the JW say they're persecuted because of pedophilia. What happened to all those years of mocking the Catholics about how they weren't the true religion? Now that it's happening to them it proves they're the true religion?

  See the funny thing about humans is when they look to the past they tend to remember the good and forget the bad and when they look to the future they think doom and gloom. I try to see the good in both.

  There will always be world problems. & honestly if god exists and if he has a judgment day, it's not going to be in the JW favor so you're screwed either way.

  Do what you know best and believe what you know to be best. If god has an issue you can ask where he was the whole time, make your peace and be happy about yourself as it ends =].

  Here's my thought:

  I wouldn't DA yourself but whenever someone calls, see's you or the elders contact you, just tell them point blank it's all BS, and tell them why.

  If they try to invite you to a judicial meeting, ignore them more. Don't play by their rules or give them the upper hand. Be yourself and show you could care less and that they have zero authority over you!

  We are going to be seeing more of this. They have a religion they like to show the public and a religion for those on the inside. Common, they have two editions of the Watchtower!!!

  Here's how you spin it in your favor though. Use JW.org and the public editions to your benifit. Use it whenever possible to get out of a situation or to stick to the elders. You'll see their heads spin as they don't know what to do.

  They tried telling me not to be around someone who left "the truth" but was never DF so I showed them this on JW.org, "perhaps even drifting away from association with fellow believers, are not shunned. In fact, we reach out to them and try to rekindle their spiritual interest." You should have seen their faces! haha

  I don't know guys. I keep hearing people say that the org is losing it's grip, getting mainstream and more relaxed but I just don't see it. A lot of stuff seems to be going back to it's roots and old school ways.

  I hate to say it but I think they are going to continue to tighten their grip. They're going to be tell there followers more and more what is right and what is wrong. It's already started. A Christians conscience will soon be a thing of the past.

  I still don't believe their growth crap. The numbers don't add up. I think they're getting fishy on what they count as active. They're trying to make it sound like there is all this huge growth and how many more halls our needed etc... on their 2% growth which I even question that. Mean while they're selling halls, selling branches while telling everyone how much growth there is. Crazy seeing the double speak.

  my 10 year old son is paying attention at the meetings

  the public talk on sunday was about evolution.. my son pointed out flaws in the speakers arguments during and after the meeting... mostly about how animals aren't able to communicate etc.

  he even brought up coco the ape that is able to communicate via sign.. i told him that i heard a ton of inconsistencies but i am afraid to say anything because your mom will get angry :).

  im glad he is paying attention.. and the school system must be doing something right..

  You'd swear that 99% of these speakers just throw into their talk whatever sounds good and whatever fits their agenda. Incorrect information is stated all the time and facts are cherry picked.

  I have to say, when I give public talks I look out into the audience pretty hard. Maybe it's just me but I swear about 60% of the people have this look on their face like they know it's all complete crap. Again, it could just be me but I get this very strong sense and could point out ones that think it's bs. I'd be interested to know if I'm right.
