I am reading a lot of beating on Cedars for this and here are my thoughts in his defense:

1. He did not think he would actually, ever get through. I mean common, if you called Bethel asking to speak to a GB member, even if you were told a possible work around, did you ever think you would get through?

a. Because of point one I doubt he had much to prepared because he doubted it would ever happen.

2. I think he was nervous and taken off guard that he actually picked up. I don't care what you believe, if you speak to anyone in a higher position you're going to be taken off guard and your nerves shaken.

Yes he could have asked better questions and raised bigger issue but again he never expected anyone to actually pick up.

I thought it was funny as anything! He pranked a GB member! How cool is that?

GB need to go back into hiding like they use to be.

the broadcasting, annual meetings, wt articles, talks etc... that show these gb members upfront are killing them!

they are not only making a complete fool of themselves but they expect us to sit and watch them, listen to them and then believe they are the direct communication with jehovah!?!.

The broadcasting, annual meetings, WT articles, talks etc... that show these GB members upfront are killing them! They are not only making a complete fool of themselves but they expect us to sit and watch them, listen to them and then believe they are the direct communication with Jehovah!?!

I can't tell you how many comments I've heard from "spiritual" people that I thought I'd never hear them say, not in a good way! The comments after the annual meeting left a lot of people in shock. It gave a family member of mine huge doubts that I think they're still struggling with now. The broadcasting is making them see like a joke.

This is honestly 100% like the Wizard of Oz where everyone thought the guy was great until the current was taken away! People honestly believed 100% more when they didn't know much about the GB, when they were mysterious and thought that they were being talked to directly by god. Now with the current gone that magic is taken away and people are seeing what they really are. A group of men with no education making it up as they go.

i have to thank tv.jw!!!

(im not putting the complete link, but you know what i mean).

after showing my wife the 'trolley song' as we now call it, she was rolling on the floor in embarrassment and shock.. she shook her head, and was clearly troubled by what we watched.. little by little, the org is actually helping more to wake up!

So I just watch it, I laughed a little at the beginning but then I just started to feel really awkward... Like really awkward.

I never want to hear another JW say that people don't take them seriously or anything close to that! I'd be mortified to show someone this video and say I belong to this group!

Is someone on the inside trolling them? I feel very weird and insecure after watching that...

my mom called me yesterday to ask how i was doing.

i hadn't seen her in a while, so it was nice to hear her voice.

we went through the motions of jw small talk and then she started telling me about her co visit from last week.

"the GB are telling the higher ups to get ready, we're not going to be here much longer!" and "we fully expect the tribulation any day now!"

So let's build new head quarters, change all our kingdom halls, rework everything because we expect it any day now.

I see a religion telling it's members one thing while it has plans that show something completely opposite.

Jw still believe 4026 B.C.E as Adams creation...?

i was doing some "research" and came across jw articles that all talk about 4026 b.c.e as adams creation.

it even went as far as to state, "there are no actual records of ancient man, his writing, agriculture, and other pursuits, extending into the past before 4026 b.c.e., the date of adams creation.

since the scriptures outline mans history from the very creation of the first human pair, there can be no such thing as prehistoric man.

Have not seen that mentioned recently, but have not seen it retracted either.

I wonder if they're working on "new light" for that since they said that types and anti-types weren't mentioned much before it got changed.

They also believe that the entire earth was under saltwater for a whole year approximately 4400 years ago

Aren't there full buildings still standing that are way older than that?
