Hmmm.... so they are hearing voices now?
i'm trying to find the wt instructions for this procedure.
extensive googling brings up watchtower 1944 may 15 p.151 as the reference.
anyone able to look up the reference?
Another reference is the account of Ananias & Sapphira where they were judged by the apostles
witnesses are quick to remind us to keep up with jehovahs chariot.
perhaps they should examine the context of the chariot, mentioned by ezekiel.
they always quote the first part (ezek.
Lost count of the number of times that "chariot" made a bloody U-turn...

Stuckinrut, JW's are not encouraged to go for higher education, as Jehovah provides the highest education. So unfortunately the line of reasoning you provided would not apply as it is always beneficial to pursue the "highest" form of education
a young jw i used to know (nice person), said within earshot to a non df'd ex jw he knew that his "..parents are up and down in the relationship and the elders(tm) are going to help.".
the non df'd ex jw said to me that he considered that after the elders(tm) get involved his parents were bound to split up.
the non df'd ex jw also commented: "what do elders know?
Was help requested in the first place or are they just nosing their way in?
ok so aparently there was this young girl who wanted to study with the jw's because she loved the bible so much.
she asked her fathers permission but he refused, after much nagging though he said she could have a study if she was prepared to have one of her fingers chopped off.
he thought the is would stop her but she was willing so he got a knife and cut off one of her fingers... a little while later she wanted to attend the meetings and he said no and again when nagged said she could attend meetings if she had another finger chopped off so she agreed and he chopped off a second finger.
And it's not at all a new experience but an old one

I have heard this experience before. It originated in Japan
this was brought up just in passing on another thread.
but i wanted to see if there are any bethelites or ex bethelites that remember some of the crazy rules we had to follow when we were there..
After reading all these experiences, AM SO GLAD that I NEVER went to Bethel!
i'm in a little urgency to know this, so please, if you can help:.
as far as i understand, this is the sequence of events:.
a) june 14th 2012 - on a trial by jury, cancace conti wins a civil law case involving child sexual abuse.
Could it be possible that they are trying to arrange for an out of court settlement?
