  thankfully my parents are converts so they aren't wierd.

  seemed pretty popular by all accounts.

  I often thought about why there are only a few million witnesses of Jehovah in a world filled with billions of people. The answer given is that Jehovah looks for quality, NOT quantity

  Then I started to think: Wait... why do people on the outside seem to be of better quality than us???

  for one thing, i cant get past genesis, but no matter.. when god told adam and eve if you eat from the tree youll die.

  so why did he not simple let them die and not allow the offspring to?.

  you see, if i was a god, and i told two people that, id let them die , .

  Well, the simple reason is that Adam & Eve sinned & lost their perfection BEFORE they produced offspring, hence their imperfection would have passed on to their offspring!

  it seems to me that you must be almost perfect to be a " servant" in the organization today.

  no college, no spiritually weak in the family, no disfellowshipped living at home, no tight pants, etc......who can live up to their lofty ideals?.

  Well, thumbs up to Barry then. At least he had the sense to recognize the benefits of higher education. I never saw the "logic" of the stand against it!
