Correction made. It was supposed to read "more than 7 billion" instead of 8. And yes, 37,000 out of a country of more than a billion is nothing to shout about. So little growth in almost a century. They should be hanging their heads in shame instead! -

Today's text:
Saturday, April 2
The little one will become a thousand.—Isa. 60:22.
Perhaps we live in an area where there are few Witnesses or where we do not see a lot of immediate results in our preaching work. Yet, remembering that the Kingdom arrangement can overcome all obstacles will strengthen us to endure. For example, when Brother Edwin Skinner arrived in India in 1926, there were only a handful of Witnesses in that country. Initially, there was little progress, and the work was described as “hard going.” But he kept on preaching and saw how the Kingdom message overcame great obstacles. In 2013 there were over 37,000 active Witnesses in India, with over 108,000 attending the Memorial. In the same year that Brother Skinner arrived in India, the work had just started in Zambia. Now over 170,000 publishers preach there, and 763,915 attended the Memorial in 2013. This means that 1 in every 18 persons in Zambia attended. What amazing growth! w1412/15 1:8, 9Well, not that amazing - considering that JW's number just over 8 million in a world populated by 7.5 BILLION people!

Went for the sake of family too. It was boring & uneventful. The passing of the memorial emblems + wine was simply awkward & weird. Many first-timers would probably think that JW's are a bunch of crazies. Attendance was down from last year by around 20 people -

Money....
by The Rebel ini believe all our worst nightmare are believing money will make our life's complete.
i am not talking about money providing life's comforts, but i am mortified that contentment and happiness always requires " more money"..ummm i need a window cleaner, a flashy car and a 50inch t.v screen to be happy.
money...well in my opinion we need money integrity to be happy, but it seems such a waste of life to search for the making of money more than ....well what i mean "hey" most of us have more money than most, and would the making or having more money really make you happier?.

I do agree money does not necessary bring you happiness. But let me say that as a witness we were always discouraged from having nice things or would criticize you as being materialistic, you couldn't take a nice vacation because others would make you feel guilty and say "must be nice that you can afford it"?
Agreed. Congs are full of miserable people who are bitter, easily jealous, & envious. They don't like to see others being better off than them & can't stand to see other people being happy, enjoying themselves, & having a good time!

Money does not equate to happiness - true. But I'll rather cry in a limo, private jet, or private yacht rather than on a bicycle! =)
Money does not equate to happiness, but it can help to alleviate the pain
Problem with JW's is, many of them are unhappy and DO NOT have money at the same time!

"Don't make mountains out of molehills"
by stephanie61092 induring the talk today, the speaker said, in reference to apostates, "don't make mountains out of molehills" and "all those who are do good to look up isaiah 43:18.
" to save you trouble, it says: "do not remember the former things, and do not dwell on the past.".
i'd like to see him read that scripture to the victims of the hundreds and hundreds of abuse cases the arc has unveiled from over the past 50 years.

By it's adherence to absurd man-made rules & failure to tackle sex abuse, the organization has itself to blame for the molehills turning into mountains! -

Which delusion will you choose?
by JW_Rogue init occurred to me while at today's wt study that over 100 people were wasting an hour of their life studiously examining the differences between two delusions, paradise earth and the heavenly hope.
everyone made it sound so serious when in reality it means nothing at all.
either choice is wrong and foolish nonsense.. it was mentioned that mark sanderson found his heavenly calling at very young age.

The Kingdom Message
by truth doubter inregarding the unique preaching of the kingdom by wt (new creation, heavenly kings, priests and judges, restoration of paradise on earth etc.).
the scriptures seem to back up wts interpretation.
so, although there are a million reasons to become inactive, how can our conscience allow us not to become active in the work described at matt.

Do you honestly believe that a loving God would destroy more than 8 billion people or 99.99% of the world's population simply because they are not convinced that JW's have the truth???
