Actually, I’m not really a “coward” so much as I choose to play it safe and cautious in order to not subject my longtime JW parents to any sadness, emotional pain, or shame. As much as I detest the JW cult for its dishonest and harmful policies and practices, I also know that my parents are very good, quality, and basically kind folks. The fence on which I must walk is more of a tightrope, but the real villain here is the WT cult organization, and I wouldn’t want my parents to suffer needlessly on account of it. Emotional blackmail, yes. It’s certainly a test of my unselfish compassion toward my mislead but very loving parents. (My sister and her family, and my aunts – well, that’s another story. We’re not exactly close, so to hell with ’em.)

This is pretty much irrelevant as the scenario that I'm referring to is an entirely different one. An abusive individual lashes out at the OP, but does not dare to do so by posting a public comment, as he / she well knows that they would get flamed by other users if they do. Hence, the cowardy private hate message. Obviously, you misinterpreted my post

Edit: I just noticed your comment above mine. I wasn't referring to you but rather the person on YouTube who insulted Cappy, that's why I used the term "He's". If it was meant to be for you, then I would have used "You're"

What I would like to see soon!

i would like to see one or better two members of the governing body get disfellowshipped and they both go off to write books like ray franz exposing the cult to all the sexual scandals, the hidden agendas with the stock market investments, the lawsuits, the laying of long time bethel workers, hidden sins by the higher ups and all the other nasty skeletons in the watchtower closet..

what would be different today compared to rays time is that we now live in a social media world..

they would be invited to talk in the oprah winfrey show, ellen degeneres show, the view, dateline.

if you are not politically correct, you will need to apologize for some perceived slight.. when i was an elder, i purposely avoided as much as i could, anybody that got easily offended.

there is a certain elder in my wives hall that has seemed to developed a real interest her.

first he seemed to feel a need to make sure all her blood cards were signed before she gave birth to our child.. he sends her text messages if she misses a meeting saying how much " we missed you last night ".

he finally sent her a text wondering where her oct hours were , knowing she had some pretty serious tears from child birth and could hardly even walk, much less do field service ".

(eccl 3:1) for instance, suppose someone sought to have all in a group link arms or hold hands during prayer.

Some marriage mates might discreetly hold hands, but if they embraced each other during public prayer, those who got a glimpse of such conduct might be stumbled. They might think or get the impression that the couple was focusing on their romantic relationship instead of reverence for Jehovah.

Simce marriage is viewed as a threefold cord, holding hands / embracing should symbolize a couple's coming together with Jehovah as a threesome. Nothing wrong with that =)

i have never but here's two i've thought of, 1) replace the liquid soap with glue 2) smear nutella everywhere in the bathroom!.

When I was a kid, I changed the afternoon field service times from 'pm' to 'am' on the large white board. Everyone looks at the board as it is a large board prominently displayed near the stage & the brother delivering the announcements would refer to it when announcing the meeting points for each field service group

The field service meeting times were written in large, bold letters. At the next meeting, I was eagerly anticipating the announcements as all eyes would be on the notice board. How disappointed I was when not a single person noticed! Damn. This went on for a few meetings, and all the while, nobody noticed! Unbelievable...

I couldn't stand it anymore. I wanted people to notice my "handiwork!" During the announcements one meeting when the field service times & locations were read out & all eyes were on the board, smart aleck me pointed the "mistake" out to my dad. I didn't anticipate his reaction though. He literally jumped out from his seat & dashed to the board in front of everyone to rectify the error! I was laughing my ass off. However, I was later on identified as the culprit & punished back home. Short-lived joy that was...

JWs have more good points than bad

1) many who were on the destructive path have been transformed by their teachings (this includes me who was once vicious, and presumptuous and atheistic).

2) equal monthly pay to all members of the bethel community regardless of whether they are bc members or sweepers.

this is something that still remains as an unattainable dream for the world.

All the five points I presented as good points are really good points which you will agree later if not now. Take your own time and try to view it with an open mind. Humans are designed in a unique way that they can see something as good or bad if viewed from above, totally detached. The more detached you are, the better your vision will be!
