This week's WT study...made me so sick.....
by stuckinarut2 inthis week's study april 15th 2014 was called "do you see the one who is invisible?".
it was perhaps one of the most depressing, controlling, fear-mongering, stress inducing, doctrinally incorrect, hate-inspiring, judgemental, cult-like, irrational, hyped-up, critical, crazy, stretched out, fanciful, illogical, burdensome, inflated, coersive, manipulative, and brain-snappingly weird stuff i have read for some time.... (but i'm sure it was just a rehash and repeat of previous stuff...for the new masses....).
i had to keep up a sane appearance while in the hall, and even answer some garbage while this was being 'studied'... my cognitive disonance must be so strong now, because i found this one of the hardest ones to endure....now that i am home, i have poured a stiff drink and am trying to clear my head...... one paragraph was classic:.

Are You a Photic Sneezer?
by cofty ini am, and my wife never believed me that a sudden bright light can make me sneeze.
apparently a third of humans are photic sneezers.
although the exact mechanism isn't fully understood it may be that a strong signal in the optic nerve can stimulte a nearby branch of the trigeminal nerve.. its time to come out the closet and be proud of your crossed wires.. ....

Science proves there is a God
by seekchristonly infusion with god natural .
in the cosmos universe or whatever.
all things are made of the same materials etc so humans will always be fused with the universe in life and death because those building blocks are eternal.

I too am sorry for you that you feel you have no choice but to expose yourself to such lies.
But as far as the study goes,even if God was coming to destroy religious organizations, my bet would be, the WT would be one of the first to cop it.
They are actually prophesying about there own demise. Idiots.
There is nothing to distinguish them from any other organized religion, and in many cases they are worse.
They have some deluded notion that Jesus is their personal attack dog, and because they say "sick em" he will destroy all other religions for them.
Truly pathetic.

Surviving Armagedon?
by Crazyguy inthe jw's have always been bung up on preaching the good news of the kingdom to all the nation's then the end will come.
but is there any where jesus said that preaching the good news will bring you salvation?
he does talk about being born again in order to see the kingdom and the bible at matt 16 and hebrews 9 talks about the blood means the covenant and this is bow ones sins are forgiven if your in this covenant.

I think their preaching campaign is an epic fail, simply because with all their D2D work over the years,
most people still have no clear idea of what they are on about.
They would have had greater success with TV advertising campaign, but why pay for that when you have free labour.

Memorial to cease?
by Aroq ini heard something about the memorial to cease soon.
not anything to do with jesus returning but rather that the number of folks partaking is increasing and the gb can't explain it since it should be decreasing or staying the same.. has anyone heard of this?
