How long before they start issueing tickets with assigned seat numbers to avoid all this embarrassing,
tell-tale evidence that JWs are NOT the "most loving people in the world?"
since it is the convention season (and i am not attending this year or ever again), and i have been seeing other posts about some of the goings on at the various ic's and rc's, i am reminded of some of the truly embarrassing behavior i have "witnessed" (pun intended) over my lifetime of being a jdub at the various conventions and assemblies.
probably the most disillusioning experience at a convention that i have ever had was one year when i volunteered to be an attendant.
all of the volunteers were asked to attend a special meeting a few months beforehand to get instructions for our duties as attendants.

tell-tale evidence that JWs are NOT the "most loving people in the world?"
the watchtower has always praised witnesses who are on welfare and decided to pioneer.
many in my congregation, including my mom, were given kudos, praise and assembly parts because they took advantage of jehovah's provision through the government....did you notice this, or was it obvious to me because i was raised in the inner city and many people recieved government help?.
Simple really, if you are too sick work you are too sick to pioneer.
Iam sure that is the way the gov would view it.
omg.
would you have your kids do this activity?
so messed up.. .
Whosever bright idea it was to make someones wife and mother dying horribly for the
unspeakable "crime" of looking back longingly as her home town gets destroyed into a childrens puzzle is a sicko,
and shows a complete lack of decency, or empathy.
Connect those dots @ssholes!
Id like to see a word-find puzzle with the list of words related to CULT.
a nice recruitment training package is to be rolled out this weekend at meetings.
but it can be applied to making and keeping friends once you leave.
i found it very good i can even use it for dating too.
I know a sister here who did just that. She went along to the meetings until she was reinstated( so she could visit with her Mum) and has'nt been to a meeting since, and that was a couple of years ago. She felt it was worth all the obligatory though temporary "crawling back to Jehovah" so she could just visit with her family in peace .
Sounds like you've got it all figured out, all the best to you and yours.
i'm at starbucks .
just outside in the courtyard.. i'm trembling.
my hands are shaking.. wow!.
Hope you wake this guy Terry.
Do you think he will compare notes about you with your friend Johnny?

Hey Kate- sounds like you are finding some use for what's passed off as "spiritual food" at the meeting,
but what will you do if they do decide to reinstate you?
the gb is guilty of the ultimate spiritual crimes.
blasphemy against god by claiming they "speak for jehovah".
they said it again recently in an article..that they speak the words of jehovah and we should listen to those words.
I agree ya-ya 2,
In many ways they are worse than the very religions they condemn,
with the clap-trap they spout in the name of Jehovah.
does god dwell outside the universe or inside?.
jehovah lives in pleiades star cluster galaxy...star trek anyone?.
1927 "the face of the deep, of course, would be toward the pleiades, which are claimed to be the habitation of jehovah.
Maybe God wears a T-shirt that says Neitzche is dead.

These blokes have appointed themselves, they have zero proof of "divine" backing.
If they have any proof at all it is that they don't have it.
They used to get around this technicality by careful wording.
For eg, "spirit directed" rather than "spirit inspired" but it seems they are
indeed getting more and more bold in their lies.
What will be the end game? Who knows.
i have a cousin who claims to have disassociated from the faith over 10 years ago.
recently he told me that our family has never learned about this.
honestly i dont see how he has continued to keep this up.
It always pains me to hear of grown adults that feel they have keep pretending for the sake of so-called loved ones.
JWs expect everyone to tip-toe around them and their beliefs and the people that accomodate that selfish requirement,
are just enabling them.
Sure, respect someones right to choose but you shouldn't have to play along just so family will still love you.
You have rights too!
If someone in the family decided to become a neo-nazi would we still feel the same need to support their decision?
