Tenacious- I was thinking more along the lines of future adjusments like, claiming current WT woes are discipline on the congregations from Jehovah, and blaming the brothers for "tolerating apostates."

With regards to the whole "Baylonian Exile" thing, to me it sounded supsiciously like priming. I have noticed over the years, that they make a point of setting up some tenuous Bible precedent in answer to a question no one was asking in the lead up to a more major adjustment and prior to actual announcement -( sorry if that's hard to follow.)
Which caused me to wonder what adjustment or announcement was coming in the future that depends upon this "adjustment."
i don't know if this has been talked about before but do you think that cart witnessing has made the r&f more accessible to apostates.
why i say this is because if you think of the d2d work the only way that i could make contact with a r&f member would be if they knocked on my door or i was fortunate enough to see them walking down the road, stopped them and began talking.
if it was known that i was an apostate my address would be recorded and no further visits made.. however with the carts it is a completely different story, and it is much harder to walk away particularly in a busy street in the full view of the public.
Many of us here would be down as "do not calls" so yeah, the carts mean the JWs are more accessible to us.
Maybe we'll be seeing motorized carts in the future -for fast getaways.
since the liberal government has been elected in canada, it seems that people are looking to the future with a little more optimism and hope.
it is only human nature that with change, we would think that the change would be for the better.
the courts have ruled, in canada, that it is unconstitutional to deny the homeless the right to sleep in parks.

Questions, any questions are like cryptonite to most dubs. Many have the attitude that unless you're telling them how wonderful and encouraging their literature is, your "attacking" them.

I can imagine many brothers and sisters will not even want to man the carts if there is even the slightest chance of being asked uncomfortable questions.

just got a phone call from an older sister saying that a couple that got re-assigned from bethel 4 years ago to live at their kh apartment as special pioneers, just received a letter saying "as of january 2016, your special pioneer assignment will be discontinued".. they live in a south miami kh(snapper creek congregation).. this couple had only served in bethel for 15 years before they were sent out into the special pioneer work.
they are now in their mid 50's and the sister said that they have to find part time jobs to support themselves.. the older sister (does not have a pc or internet), says that the couple are just devastated!

Yes, regular worldly people lose their jobs and can't afford their rent and worse everyday. That's life.
I'm sure this demotion will be a rude awakening for these SPs, but, again, that's life.
