  Well now we have the post traumatic milo situation sorted....

  Yes, one eyed joe is right, that's the nature of PTS a sight, a sound, a smell can trigger a memory and you're right back there. I think the meetings themselves even without physical abuse were very emotionally abusive spaces where you were never good enough or spiritual enough or connected to enough of the right people I threw away all my meeting clothes for this reason they reminded me too much of that horrible place called the KH.

  Hopefully more of these experiences will surface and alert the general public to JWs are just another religion and in many ways worse.

  once you understand all the hypocrisy and negatives, i would think it's almost impossible to go back!.

  i just happened to read a news article from some months ago about doctors having performed a successful penis transplant.

  the recipient lost his due to cancer, and doctors expect him to gain full use of his "new" penis, including sexual activities.

  considering some of the more goofy interpretations of doctrine that the gooberning body trots out that the rank and file must obey under penalty of shunning i wonder if a man had this surgery, would he and or his wife be df'd for adultery?

  Met JWs today - they lied about who they were

  so a couple came into the library where i work today and the woman said she was from the british sign language association and asked if i would display a leaflet for her.

  when she handed me the leaflet the jw website logo jumped out at me as did the words 'would you like to study the bible with jehovah's witnesses?

  ' there was a small picture that had someone conversing in sign language but the other pictures were typical jw leaflet pictures.

  I wonder what she would have said if you asked her about the JWborg logo? I think JWs should be asked questions about their motives and intentions more often than they are, they think they're getting away with their theorcatic deceptiveness. Sad.

  I accompanied a sister once who regularly dumped huge stacks of magazines at quite a few businesses in town under some less than honest arrangement with the management about what she was doing and who she represented, like you they smiled and took them but I 'm pretty sure those mags got dumped as soon as she walked out the door. I thought to myself at the time what a collosal waste of time and paper it was and how dishonest!

  Dear Young People, once you turn 18 yrs old you have the privilege of being responsible for your own decisions about what is truth and what is a ridiculous claim, regardless of what your parents believe or taught you to believe. Don't let any religion tell you otherwise.

  RUMOUR - Regarding future memorials

  i heard this on the youtube channel - bad jw round table discussions and i normally don't give much thought to rumours, i did find this one interesting.one of the guys on the channel said that there are plans that 'the other sheep' will be told not to attend any future memorials.he was asked how credible was this and he said that it is talk going around by those in the know, just like there had been those that knew about the fairly recent new edition of the bible being in production.even if this is probably just a rumour, the idea has a lot of merit.

  the benefits for the organization outweigh the negatives and would fit in with their current direction.here are some of the benefits, for the org.

  that could come from it- the biggest benefit would come from not having to accommodate so many attendants, which are more than double a normal meeting.

  I have wondered whether in the furture there would be one official memorial that would be broadcast with GB members and select bethelites. I don't think GB give a rat's about any non-bethelite annointed and will find some way to disqualify any undesirable partakers and one official televised memorial would solve a lot of problems for them re controlling the number of extra partakers etc. I think this problem of rogue annointed will have to be addressed by the org at some point, it's too embarrassing for them. And yes adjusting the requirement for observers to be there would work, no one these days converts to JWism from going to a memorial the only visitors are lapsed JWs and the r&f will just do whatever the God of nu-lite tells them to.
