This is a truly horrible religion. There is no excuse for these elders that hunt down reports from the sick and elderly.
They are just doing the GB's bidding -voluntarily I might add. Nobody forces you to be an elder.
my mom has not been to any meetings or participated in field service since august 2013. she cannot walk due to all her medical conditions.
she is either in bed or sitting in a wheel chair.. our family hired a caretaker monday - friday to help her eat, take her to the bathroom and sit with her in case she needs anything.
in the evenings and weekends, we have family members take care of her.

so i am, i guess technically an apostate.
never baptized, family all in and treat me fine since leaving home/wt over 30 years whenever i see them.
discovered the ttat by reading kingdom of the cults and catching an episode of the john ankerberg show when i was 18.. in the past 4 years i have "helped" two people ( a father and son) get reinstated.
You are absolutely right though "holy spirit"-pure bull.
so my folks went to the meeting today and somehow i got brought up and they gave them my address so they can call on me because i'm inactive,i am upset about it because they didn't ask me first,i told my parents i wish they hadn't of done that without asking me first and my dad's response was are you not baptised?
and i said yes when i was 17 and i don't want to talk to anyone (i'm 51 now) and want to avoid any discussions that may cause me to lose my relationships with family that is still in,,so now i feel my successful fade will be jeapordized.
I remember getting given the addresses of some JW's relatives and being asked to call on them
You would knock on their door and it became very clear in short space of time that they neither requested or knew about it.
Awquard.
five jehovahs witnesses traveling to convention feared to have drowned.

When something tragic like this happens they cry "time and unforeseen occurrence".
When someones chickens are saved they cry " praise Jah".
Total lunacy.

Apostates should have a convention with the headline talk:
Millions Now Living Would Rather Die Than Listen to WT's BS

Just a question, can you be an apostate if you were never baptized?
I was under the impression you could only be labelled an apostate if you made a dedication and were baptised.
Maybe I am wrong.
i am a member of the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints, and i have written a heavily-documented response to the official magazine of the jehovah's witnesses, awake!, that claims to teach what we believe.
i saw an article from last year's watchtower about a guy who had barely been mormon for very long, and obviously did not know what we believe, who was given this magazine by jw's to show him "the truth.
" he claims to have proven to himself that it was true from information on the lds church's website.
JW's don't discriminate, they lie about everyone.
So welcome to the club.
you'd think they could point to something right?
obviously we're the one true religion".. i can't fathom how anyone of any intelligence would be willing to join up with this org after doing even rudimentary research.. for years they have taught that it's wrong to seek advanced education or to plan for a "worldly" future by trusting in this system of things and then this past sunday the watchtower article rips on people for not planning for the future in regard to their elderly relatives.
maybe if they hadn't been teaching for 100 yr's that the end was "just around the corner" and telling us we'd better believe that fact...or else, we would have planned better for a future that you said without reservation would not even occur.. what mind blowing prediction can they point to that would convince someone "oh yeah..these guys have it right"...?.
They correctly predicted that critical thinking can cause one to see through their lies.
"unless we abide by the direction of the governing body, gods own representatives, then we are wicked, and will be part of the destroyed people as described in zephaniah".
.
"rip it off (clap, clap, clap) rip it off (clap, clap, clap)........"
Sorry, I shouldn't be inciting you to rebellion.
You'll rip when your ready.

the governing body claims they've received "new light" from jehovah every time they change their doctrine.
so where did the "old light" come from that's being replaced?
if the old light is incorrect, could it have come from god?
The GB should be called the oricle, cause all their light comes out of a fundamental orifice.
It's, actually brown light.
