  Churches = Goat Factory

  when i was kid, when we would pass a church, my dad would point to it and say, "look!

  there's a goat factory!

  he never explained that he was trying to be funny and young kids take things quite literal.

  so as i have told everyone here, i am well along in my fade, and know ttatt.

  i have even been pursued by the elders and interrogated re my "seemingly loss of spirituality and activity etc..." even though i am still an ms.. but cop this!...

  i have been asked to join in the exclusive literature cart witnessing activity!

  Bible's mention of physical beauty- why?

  for years, as i've read through the bible, i've wondered why bible writers were concerned about physical beauty (see references below)?

  i realize it's human nature to be interested in beauty, but why did they see fit to record in the so-called "word of god" the fact that some of the people they wrote about were beautiful?

  looks are not supposed to matter according to jw doctrine (and probably the doctrine of many christian-professing sects).

  Yes, I always wondered what someones outer beauty had to do with it,

  if so called "inner beauty"and "the secret person of the heart" was considered more important.

  Seemed like an unnecessary detail.

  Jw's dont really care about doctrine do they?

  it seems to me that jw's really don't care about doctrine.

  ephesians chapter 4 verse 11 "and he gave some as apostles others as prophets, others as evangelists, others as pastors and teachers to equip the holy ones for the work of ministry for the building up of the body of christ until we attain the unity of faith and knowledge of the son of god to mature manhood to the extent of the full stature of christ so that we may no longer be in infants tost by waves and swept along by every wind of teaching arising from human trickery from their cunning in the interest of deceitful scheming".

  is it just me or does this verse totally annihilate the doctrine or belief in new light.

  Many neither know nor care. It's about social posturing and position, and who is the most "spriritual" (popular) person in the room.

  They prefer the spiritual "training wheels" that a religion provides.

  What would the ideal racial demographic be for the Governing Body?

  the number of white men on the governing body has often come up for discussion.

  the negro member has been called the 'token black.

  ' no reflection on his race, but it just seems odd that with the great number of witnesses around the world, in such a variety of countries, that every member, but one, is white.. in your opinion, [with 8 as the target number].

  The "ideal" racial demographic would have to display fake unity of course.

  So they would be white but with stereotypical national dress.

  for instance

  one guy in a sombrero and handlebar moustache,

  one guy in a kilt,

  one guy in a grass skirt,

  one guy in a bowler hat,

  one guy in a cowboy hat,

  ..........etc, etc, you get the gist.

  Like a mini UN.
