I remember the last DC I attended I stayed until the mid morning song then left and
went shopping, had lunch at a cafe then more shopping and went back for final song.
I left my books and blankie and crap on my seat so it looked like I was still there.(Strangely nobody noticed).
I felt wonderfully naughty and thought "why didn't I start doing this years ago?"

i think that there should be a list of the times when a certain world event got jw's thinking "this has got to be it!
the start of armageddon!".
it would be nice to have screenshots of twitter/facebook comments from actual jw's.... then come back to it 5, 10, 15 years from now and just say... nope... just another crisis in the world.... just this year there have been two:.

(colossians 2:8 compare 2:11, 16, 17) in view of the over-all view of the bible, there is no excuse to use the word philosophy with any negative connotation.
jws built their stand on philosophy based on this wrong (negative) use of the word philosophy found in colossians 2:8.. the greek word philosophi a means love of wisdom.
Yep, the word philosophy is synonomous with "worldly" to JWs.

i found many examples of propaganda, of course, but a couple things really stood out.
1) the future of the preaching work.
Apparently the Creator of the universe will only save you now if you are internet savvy.
They will add that to the list of baptism questions.
"Do you promise to go to the blue square everyday?"
"Yes, all hail the blue square"
all this campaign going on got me to thinking, a normal person having received a tract about the jw website, would they only go to that one website if they were in any way interested?
would they really not click on any links that would also appear about jw's?
would they really not read about them from other sources too?.
That's right in the age of information no sane person accepts anything on face value, nor should they.
So some may go to the official website, but they almost certainly will check others aswell.

glad to know this site is here.. i would not be writing this if it were not 2014. i was a ministerial servant and regular pioneer who left the jehovahs witnesses back in 1995/96, around that time.
i left suddenly, didnt fade away, just left when something clicked one day in my head during the morning shower and made me realize this religion wasnt true.
When I first woke up I was comforted by telling myself they are the true religion they have just lost their way.
Then it slowly dawned on me as researched more about their history that they never were to begin with.
They are just men fumblinmg around in the dark like all the other religions.
the july 15th, 2014 issue of the watchtower has the "life story" of gb member gerrit losch on pages 17-22.. think about it.
this losch love-fest is 6 pages of the current wt!.
that's nearly 20% of the ragazine.. is this the beginning of a series of idolatrous articles indoctrinating jws with gb worship?
I interesting you call it a love fest because Jude 12 states:
