  Bethel Layoffs In Australia Confirmed

  yes, last week the number of bethel layoffs was confirmed from 90 to 125. .

  and those going in thinking they may be there for some time have been told.

  that they may be there for two months rather than 3 years depending on .

  They act like a business but without any of the laws that are in place to protect employees of a business.

  They enjoy the best of both worlds, religion and hard-nosed business.

  I must say, I have wondered if the Aus branch would have a serious reshuffle of the higher-ups after the ARC debacle. It wasn't a good look for the Society, particularly Toole and Spinks they really came off as arrogant assholes. But then again, arrogant assholes are usually rewarded with more responsibility in Jehovah's organization.

  With the Sydney real estate market being what it is, they could make some serious money selling the Australia branch and surrounding land off to a developer or an investor.

  matthew 15:30. great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them.. whether the above story has any foundation of truth cannot be demonstrated.

  and while certain people claim to have had their mobility restored in our times, the fact remains that its a very hit and miss affair.

  this is a good time to be alive.

  today i remembered one of my disillusionment episodes, when i was going from rejection to rejection, and i was discovering the wide gap between spewing beautiful words and actually translating them into actions.. a few years ago, in my darkest hours of depression, it occurred to me to send the following sms to one of my closest friends in the congregation.

  i truly believed in her friendship and thought i could count on her.

  it was one of the very rare moments in which i was ready to put myself completely out there and pour my heart out to someone.

  The reality is JWs are incapable of helping themselves let alone another.

  They are not the happy, loving, caring organization they claim to be, and their teachings produce cold, callous, robots. It is painful and shocking when their true nature is revealed to you but it is far better to know what you can and can't expect from these people.

  Take care and be kind to yourself tempest, your reaction to this is normal and reasonable.

  It's them that have the cold hearts.

  Should I be mad?

  i've been df'd for about six weeks now.no one has broken the obligation to "honor the disfellowshipping decree".that's the way notorious co paul kohler describes the "loving arrangement" that is jw shunning.

  ( just "serving" napa ).

  so, my wife's family has been "loving me" ( barf ) when out of nowhere, one of them sends home homemade soup for me.... well, i got super pissed.

  Emphasis on "works" required for salvation such as the "studying" of WT publication to qualify for baptism, meeting attendance, formal witnessing and reporting all considered essential for salvation, yet the bible references sited as proof to such things are vague and general.

  Nah, if they can't be bothered treating you like a human being then how does soup help?

  Prisoners get meals as well doesn't mean the guards love them or feel bad for keeping them prisoner.

  I understand completely why you're pissed.

  Shunned people need friends and family not patronized with the soup of silence.

  Well, with faith being such an exact science and all, if they go under it shows they are chosen because they are being "persecuted for my sake" and if their shameless "show me the money" stunt works then they are chosen because Jehovah saved their asses from the fiscal abyss.
