  i've been noticing lots of these pins on lapels.

  i could almost understand the jwdotorg pin because the new mantra is to go to the website.

  but why on earth are they sporting a building?

  Honest Questions About Child Abuse

  i have two honest questions for everyone here.

  i understand that most here want retribution from the courts against watchtower for child abuse allegations.

  but let us take away the instances where someone was accused of child abuse and then later put back into a position of authority, such as an elder or an ms. let us just take the cases where a regular publisher or even an appointed person, with no previous accusation of child abuse has come up against that person.

  You gotta remember Watchtower places itself as the "head" of each and every baptized witness and their families with its myriad of rules and regulations JWs are emotionally blackmailed into living by. It is during the carrying out of these many rules that much trust is given atomatically to other members of the group whether they actually are trustworthy or not. I do hold WT reponsible for insisting their rules be followed they cross the line when they control others, they control others through fear obligation and guilt - IOW indoctrination.

  WT is a high control group that needs to be exposed as such so people can see it for themselves and leave or not join in the first place and if lawsuits and bad press will help that happen then great.

  Of course laws changing is worthwhile goal and there are good people working tirelessly for that but victims of WT have the right to do whatever they need to so I will not be judging them for suing WT anytime soon.

  The law WT should be following is a moral one NOT mandated by state or country but by conscience.

  M.O.R.A.L. Why? Because they claim to follow the law of love!

  I didn't have a favourite propaganda song I hated them all equally, though, some of them were effective as ear-worms.

  I think that the WT are gutless wonders encouraging and allowing chlldren to do their dirtywork for them and be used as a recruiting tool.

  Shame WT shame. Are their any other ways you can put children at risk is "witnessing" online next?

  Why aren't WT as the self proclaimed most moral loving caring people on earth changing their policies to make it 100% clear to any and all of it's members that child abuse is a matter for the police and NOT the elders to investigate and re traumatize victims with their inept inappropriate and irresponsiby cruel questions that they have no business asking of victims???

  What are WT doing to work with police and report even when not required to by law?

  Guardians of Doctrine my ass.

  Guardians of Pedophiles more like and certainly NOT Guardians of Children!

  Where We Jews (and Religionists) Have Not Been So Forthcoming

  because i feel some people have become confused in thinking that i am promoting religion or thinking that being jewish is some type of special gift that makes me better, i am writing to tell you that i don’t feel this way.

  think of this as your christmas gift (or chanukah or festivus or whatever).. despite the fact that i too practice a religion, i also think atheism is a purposeful and noble use of the mind.

  too often people with a religion have only bad things to say about atheism and atheists.
