Stan - " ...speaker...empty rows..." indeed, something to look forward to.
But somehow, I reckon they'll have morphed into a fully fledged internet religion by then.
we are so overjoyed with what is happening in the exjw community!
it is places like this forum where many can have a place to interact anonymously and be felt like they are understood.
you guys are awesome!

no.. pamo (physically & mentally out)?
POMOSP = physically out, mentally out, seriously pissed.
the congregation i attend had it's watchtower study on thursday night because of l.d.c work this week-end, and another congregation i have some not very spiritual friends in had their watchtower study on wednesday.
from what i have delicately prised out of people, the congregations loved the watchtower study this week, saying it was so encouraging and all the usual stuff, with no-one seeming to realise the g.b.
said they're not inspired, so the spirit int he past has moved them to teach wrong things, and all the other ideas excellently summed up on reddit.. today's watchtower will wash over the heads of most j.w's like it never even happened, the all remaining as loyal as ever, and it makes me so, so sad..
Even if they thought the WT didn't pass the sniff test they would never admit it outloud. The only question ever asked after meetings that I went to were "how did you enjoy the meeting?" Or "wasn't it a great WT?"

WT just makes everything they do seem creepy.
my spouse and i have faded 4+ years ago.
we know the jw rumor mill has gotten back to our family that we no longer attend.
most of our family is out of state.
I think there has been talks and articles stating the reason someone does not attend is not important.
The Return To Jehovah brochure I think.

Yep, don't ask don't tell policy in full force. I think they are afraid of the reasons I don't attend, the equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and singing lalalala.
you have got to read this article http://thoughtcatalog.com/shahida-arabi/2016/06/20-diversion-tactics-highly-manipulative-narcissists-sociopaths-and-psychopaths-use-to-silence-you/.
it is long but when you read this you will understand the gb and others in charge of the watchtower society.
i'm sure all of us have known people in our own lives that fit in one of the descriptions.
Point 3 "...if you think you are going to have a thoughtful discussion with someone who is toxic be prepeared for some epic mindf***ery..."
Yep, that be JWs alright, case in point the ARC!
we're currently watching leah remini's series about scientology and the main thing she seems to focus on is the shunning policies of the scientology organization which let's face it are very similar to jw procedure.. i was wondering with all that's in the media recently about bullying could a petition be put together to get the goverment to consider making religiously mandated shunning illegal?
has such a thing been tried before?.
https://petition.parliament.uk/help says the following - .
The borg induce people to refuse lifesaving blood treatment for themselves and for their children and people die because of it.
just found this chart on reddit here: reddit.
and here's a copy:.
what i find scary is that... it's accurate.
WT indoctrination and propoganda literature is designed to bypass critical thinking, logic and reasoning ability and it does so very effectively.

after ban, jehovah’s witnesses in russia harassed by police during religious services.

Failure to attend JW meetings is NOT a disfellowshipping offense because it is NOT a bible law.
The verse talking about not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together is NOT talking about twenty first century JW meetings that's a shameless misuse of the scripture by WT. Even if (which it most definitely is not) it was talking about JW meetings it's a suggestion NOT a law. You cannot be disfellowshipped for NOT attending meetings. No elder can force you to attend.
