Do not Disassociate, Anull your baptism
by jwfacts ini am now a jedi, so trust me on this.. .
why dis-associate, you are just playing by the wts rules?
how can you dis-associate anyway, you never thought you were baptised as a watchtower society member, you thought your dedication was to god, so why formally disassociate from something you did not formally join?

While you are at it, you might as well tell the IRS that wages aren't income and consequently you don't owe any taxes, either. This annulment ploy doesn't work, unless the BOE are dolts. I tried this idea back in 1988. You will still be shunned and have your family ripped apart. -

ladies , its not just me, is it?..
by sowhatnow inok ladies, has there been any documented studies on the role religion or society plays in keeping women in an economical and social disadvantaged state ?
im wondering how many other women out there in the world, who either being raised or being long term followers of a strict religious faith, with traditional family structures, have upon either divorce or death of a spouse find it nearly impossible to find a mate or economic stability , and live out the remainder of their lives struggling and either bouncing from one guy to another, being disappointed or used, or simply alone.
i have personally felt, that i, being a xjw and now divorced woman , with no acceptable work skills,[ ie: fancy resume with degrees] living of low wage part time work and barely any alimony , will simply be viewed as someone trying to get another man to support her.

I was single for almost all of the 90's after my JW wife divorced me. I got pretty good at decoding personal adv's-
When she said, "must have horses", that means, must have money, land and a nice diesel PU truck.
I met my wife at a singles dance the Sunday after Xmas in 1999. I asked her to go with me to a year 2000 New years eve party. Six weeks later I asked her to marry me, she said yes. She was 45 and had never been married- she is a real lady- shy until she gets to know you. Being a divorced man, I had to win her heart. It will be 15 years for us this fall- and we have a teenage daughter who makes us a real family- we adopted her when she was a toddler. I think I am the only parent in her school who is on SS.
PS- I stopped mentioning I had been a JW years before that- it's the kiss of death on a date to talk about that wrong detour in life.

I'm going to tell you what will probably work- you will find a husband. It's up to you next.
Go to Williston, ND for a 2 week trial. The place is packed with men working the Baaken shale oil fields.
Many of the service jobs pay $15-$20/hr, too. Find a job in a place that has a steady flow of people, like a restaurant.
The men make good money and many of them are well to do ranchers, but they have no one to love. I see a large number of hale and hearty looking men in the Dakotas looking for a relationship on the POF website- set up a profile before you leave and see what happens ( make that area your home in your profile). On Craigslist, you can find jobs that include housing- very important! Next, get a cheap cellphone and set it up with a Dakota phone number, just in case you need to talk-
The unemployment in that area is under 2%. which means , if you are walking and breathing with some work experience, you will get hired.

A difficult yet necessary decision
by Brother Jeramy inthe past five weeks have been perhaps the most painful in my life as a witness.. some months ago a young man (i'd say in his late thirties or early forties) began attending meetings at my kingdom hall.
he had just moved to my area from another state.
he had disassociated himself from his home congregation many years back, when he was 20 years old and going through many of the typical trials and temptations most young men experience.. two of the elders met with him initially, and they later shared the details with the body of elders.

A selfless act, as you describe it. I recommend you join the Catholic church after you leave the KH. I see a calling there for you, brother Jeramy. They place a high value on selfless actions, charity, fasting and penance

So, if I understand this right, you are leaving the KH, because a schmuck (his standing with the elders) got backhanded by the elders for having the impertinence of asking them to speed up his reinstatement process? The WT-org is a cruel taskmaster, always has been, always will be.
Why not leave over something that directly affected you or over a false doctrinal issue- and then make public statement about it?
The elders did that guy a favor- they likely sensed that he wouldn't be able to unlearn ( in 3 or 4 months) his old (now incorrect) WT dogmas and would have made trouble for them down the road, ie, "that's not how we used to do it, that's not how the generation was taught 20 years ago". It's not repentance they needed from him, no, it was 9 to 12 months of continuous brainwashing at the KH.

Where Is The Jehovah's Witness Zeal?
by minimus init seems to me that the religion is nearly dead.
or dying.
very little pulse exists for the organization.

JWs need a date to have zeal. Stay alive until 2025 has a nice ring to it- - gotta see if the writing dept can come up with something new-- the boys are really good-- ( 2025 will be the Jubilee year of 1975- so it's Biblical)

so how disobedient are you?
by sowhatnow inthings religious organizations practice that are non biblical [ or what were told not to do] pray in public [jesus said go into your room and pray in secret.
jesus always went away to pray]build houses of worship store up treasures on earthjudge their fellow man and condemn their fellow man.
preach doctrines of menclaim to be gods special property and for some faiths, do not pray the prayer jesus said to pray.

I have a bad habit, ie, making authority figures look stupid. JWs and Mormons get most of my attention, except I can go easy on Mormons as they will come to your home and do yard work, home cleaning repairs, etc, So, if you are needy, elderly, disabled, etc call the LDS church and ask for some help. They are really eager to help, just don't go to their meetings.
carry on, I was just talking.

Lies, manipulation and schemes shouldn't be required of anybody who has learned the TTATT. If everyone in the KH stopped doing that, I'll bet they would look around and find 1/4 of their KH members have been fooling everyone about their true feelings. Enough already with being a phoney.
