Jw's don't let their kids die because of blood...
by freemindfade inanother nauseating detail i remember from saturdays program.
there is a video (one of so many) shaming young people for being afraid to admit they are jw's.
one australian girl talks about how one of her teachers was saying jw's let their children die over the blood issue (fact) and she goes on to say how that is not true.

Now I know why my comments at the hotel full of JWs last Sunday morning ( at breakfast) about, 1914 to 2014 - 100 yrs and nothing has happened , yet-- and blood transfusions seemed to hit them hard. They were all pretty much choked up and unable to say a word as I hammered away at them. -

Two creation stories in the bible, why have I never noticed this??
by purrpurr ini'm reading a very interesting book right now "your god is too small" by the atheist republic.
it makes the point that there are two creation accounts in the bible!.
in one humans are created after the animals in the second humans are created before the animals.

I had a 30 minute discussion with Mormon missionary lads about Genesis ( and other points) 2x this year. I explained to them that Genesis is a metaphor, not literal fact. They really don't think about stuff- perhaps more so than JWs, IMO.
the last story I always leave Mormons with--
2 LDS missionaries meet 2 Jws on the sidewalk-- each unsuccessfully tries to persuade the other that they have the "truth"
There are 3 three possible choices- do you know what they are? pause-
#1- the JWs are right and Mormons are wrong
#2- The Mormons are right and JWs are wrong
#3- do you know what #3 is? ( they usually act dumb, so I have to tell them)
Its, they are both wrong! Neither one has the truth!
Man does that go over like a lead balloon- but they need to think about that possibility.

I was appointed an elder at age 26, and about 2 years later I stepped down. I had seen enough of jehoovers guiding hand. Once burned, always burned. To this day, I am loathe to do volunteer work in my place of worship. I will help out for a one time task, but steadfastly refuse to be nominated for any position that requires responsibility and attendance at monthly meetings. -

If you had any doubts about the pitifully poor mental prowess of Watchtower and JWs in general ...
by Island Man inif you had any doubts about the pitifully poor mental prowess of watchtower and jws in general then i'm sure this week's watchtower study (week of june 15-21, 2015) completely obliterated such doubts.
the study article (watchtower april 15, 2015, page 19: how real is your relationship with jehovah?
) was filled with blatantly fallacious reasoning that were outdone only by the more fallacious reasoning on the part of commenting jws.. the article, in paragraph 2, says this about a relationship with jehovah:.

I read a story some years ago that said the statistics from 2009-2010, showed religious church going people suffered the same amount of job loss, unemployment and foreclosure as nonreligious people.
this is the story I tell-
100 people are diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and all 100 pray for a healing.
25 people go into remission and 75 people die.
the 25 who live, tell everyone that god answered their prayers, but the 75 who are dead, can't tell anyone that prayer does not work. The moral is, prayer that doesn't work is under reported.

This is why Jehovah's Witnesses do Not celebrate birthdays. It is just so obvious.

I often ask JWs why they don't celebrate birthdays and they come back with the standard WT line-- " well, John the baptist got his head cut off", etc
So I ask them, "if it was an anniversary party instead of a birthday party, then does that mean JWs wouldn't celebrate an anniversary?"
JWs are speechless- I then explain they are using false WT logic to deduce that birthdays are forbidden for Christians.
I also ask them if they knew that very often only the kings and priests in Bible times had access to and knowledge of calendars, so the common people just didn't know what day they were born on, hence, they couldn't celebrate a birthday, even if they wanted to. I have yet to meet a JW who has thought this birthday prohibition through using sound logic.

No problem with going slow, which is a subjective definition. I think it was about 3 or 4 months after I started reading the good stuff, that I shared with my wife some ideas about blood transfusions. She just told me, "you're an apostate", so at that point I knew she had closed her mind. In my mind, I was going slow with her, too. I think that JWs today are more quick to pull the trigger on anyone who expresses opinions contrary to the current WT dogma.
My wife and I have open computers and smart phones-- she and I know each others passwords, too. There have been times when we needed to send a fax for an email and one of us wasn't home. There are no secrets in our house. Maybe, that is not the norm with spouses, today.

Lies, when do people decide, no more lies and just tell the truth. Whatever happens is what is supposed to happen at the fork in the road when you mentally leave the KH. To thine own self be true.
Maybe I was unusual, as I never lied about what I was reading, C0C book was left out in the open, Gentile times book, out in the open (1988). I talked to the elders about points I found in the books and they never asked to look at the books, never refuted what was in them, either, they just said-- "don't do it". Wrote letters to bethel and bethel only told the elders to investigate me. Funny, when they asked what was in my letters, I realized that bethel didn't tell them. I told the elders, I guess bethel can't trust you with that information, so I'm not going to tell you either-- here read the books like I did. Boy did that get them upset.
Abraham Lincoln said it best:
"No man has a good enough memory to be a successful liar"It's only a matter of time before a sneak gets caught, It's better to go out taking the high and honorable road, IMO. -

During questioning for the jury selection, mention or ask about "jury nullification"-- That pretty much guarantees that you will be excused. -

Why are JWs so against debate
by enigma1863 inif the jws follow proverbs 27:17 they should not be afraid of any tension or friction.. in order for iron to sharpen iron you need pressure, tension friction and a bit of heated debate..

I've probably talked to over a 100 JWs who were out in service in 27 years- they will never admit the truth to a worldly person, even if it hits them between the eyes. Later when they get home they may think about what was said to them.
The worst time I was ever beaten at the door by a householder was when she asked me a 3 word question " are you happy?"
of course I said YES, but she saw the real truth in my face- "you need to stop lying to yourself"-- and she closed the door. That lady made me realize that I was lying to myself. If JWs would just stop lying to themselves about being unhappy, they might find the strength to leave the KH.
