I'd have to agree and say being (or should I say thinking that I was) the smartest person in the room at school was pretty fun.

There are some questions I have had about the JWs view "post-Armaggeddon"
by booker-t ini have always wondered how jws believe about "post-armaggeddon" earth.
question#1 how will jws survivors bury all of the dead bodies.
with about 4 billion people on earth today how can 8 million jw(1/2 of them children and babies) bury all of those dead bodies?

Pushing the JW.ORG
by Etude ini took these pictures over a month ago.
i had not realized that they were really pushing their site.
this was at our farmers market, although they were not officially in the market area but off the side on the sidewalk.. .

"Almost seems a bit clever. They know that nobody will come over and talk and they know that if it said jehovah’s witnesses on the sign or in the URL nobody would go to the website. But jw.org is easy to remember and might just get a few curious ones to head over on their mobile device after seeing it."
Mynameislame you're so right. What about in the model prayer where jesus said to sanctify god's name? Last time I checked god wasn't a website.

I never got the "pain and death will be no more" stuff. So can I jump off a cliff without dying? Will it still hurt? Can humans live in places that they woulent be able to before like Antarctica without worrying about hypothermia and frostbite? (I still want my pet penguin damn it)
What about things like drugs and alcohol? Can you take as many drugs or drink as much as you want without dying because I thought the main reason we shouldn't do that today was because it was bad for you and the bible says to take care of yourself.
Also, who gets resurrected? I was always taught it was almost everyone who had died because many had not had the chance to know about god. What about a jw's relatives that left the "truth" before they died, do they not get resurrected? That's like their no.1 selling point in terms of getting people interested in the religion but if your loved one rejected god then it doesn't apply to you and you only find out once you're in too deep.

By saying things like magic are bad, do the WTS imply that it exists?
by DuvanMuvan ini was wondering why they're so uptight about magical things (cough cough sparlock cough) and was just remembering some quotes in the publications about demons and stuff i saw on another thread and i seriously think that they believe this stuff is real.. once i asked my mum why previously she said not to watch magicians because they're bad blah blah when it wasn't real, hence the term magic trick.
she admitted that while most of them are probably innocent, she still thinks some of them (anyone heard of dynamo?
) have some demonic power behind them.. i seriously wanna hear some other views on this .

I feel so sorry for Caleb from the be Jehovah's friend videos. When he grows up he's going to have to explain to all his school mates that "magic is bad because Jehovah hates it because mummy said so" and that probably isn't going to work when he speaks to someone WITHOUT the reasoning skills of a brainwashed 5 year old

I reckon it's because the online library doesn't go back that far so people won't be able to see all the weird stuff they said in the past

What was the most rebellious thing you did while you were a devout jw?
by DuvanMuvan ini was just thinking about how humans being imperfect and satan's influence was the root of everything bad that anyone has ever done.
well i know that apparently everyone is vulnerable which got me thinking about what "bad" things people have done while they were a jw.
i'll start it off.

Im currently atheist/agnostic if i were to put a label on it. My mum is the one that brought me into the religion when I was about 7/8 and I was a jw for about 7 years before I started to question some things, not just in the wts but things in the bible too. When I realised the jws didn't have all the answers I tried to leave and only just managed to stop going to meetings a few weeks ago.

For those who still attend- When was the last time you had a Congregation Picnic or Get together?
by BU2B init seems that in my neck of the woods there is no social interaction between jws outisde of fs and the kh.
the last get together was 3 summers ago.
other than that there is no bond.

Forgot to mention the dress code. According to my mum it's "dress as if you're going to meeting". Lol doesn't sound like a very relaxed environment if the women aren't even allowed to turn up in jeans.
