lots of people are getting married at midnight tonight.. what do you guys think?
maybe if anyone gets called on by a jw this weekend you can ask them what they think about it.. im just glad because it shows that religion doesn't define our conscience, that basic human decency can prevail over time and hopefully, these types of gradual but big changes will be present in the wts too in the future .

@band on the run someone else will probably explain it better than me but I think it was in the house of lords or something like that. I remember on the news a few months ago about the vote being passed on a 3:1 vote or something like that.
@wizzstick evidently the brother meant that god would stop it from becoming polluted after an unknown amount of time. But rest assured, god will sancitfy the marriage union before this generation's overlap dies out. So stand firm in the troof, pioneer and donate to the world wide work because remember, god loves a cheerful giver.

@Justhuman14 what i really dislike about that response to gay marriage is that it implies that just because a few gay people want to get married, everyone will become gay. Believe it or not, most of the population is straight, so jumping to that conclusion is pretty out there isn't it?
But let's say you were right. Gay marriage is legalised and everyone instanteously becomes gay. Where will all the babies come from? Adpotion will only work in the short run, and so will sperm banks. But it's actually pretty simple.
Say you have two couples living next door to each other. One gay and one lesbian couple. Both of them would like children. Now obviously, having sex with each other would be out of the question. But to say that in 100 years time humankind would be too dumb to know what to do when we have loads of women with eggs and no sperm and loads of men with sperms but no eggs, you obviously have no hope for us as a species.
now back to the real world where only about 4% of the population is gay. You have nothing to worry about. Arguing against something by stating what could probably maybe happen if it were taken to the extreme (which is pretty much impossible in this case) isn't a valid reason

The first two sources you list are about one big meteor not a whole meteor storm. And sorry i didn't look at all of the others but I didnt see one where it said that one large meteor storm occurred and that's where all our water came from

What Is The World View Of America?

then obama became president and we heard how the rest of the world felt that finally they had a person that would respect them and their views and work with them!

I've been to ny twice (pretty sure it was Long Island if that's in ny) and I really liked it.
As far as what I think of Americans I really only know as much as there are a lot of religious groups and obesity is a problem.
Other than that I only know what I see from a few crazies on TV. And trust me there are a lot

by BU2B init seems that genesis is chock full of goodies to make yhwh look less than the loving, impartial, fair god so many think they worship.. here is another one i just thought of.. yhwh decides to turn lot's wife into a mound of salt for the horrible crime of "looking back" toward her home.
this is brought up often by jws who use the story to tell jws not to look at the things behind.. we all know god is consistent and never changes so compare what happens later.. lots daughters cannot seem to find any man around so they conspire two nights in a row to get their father drunk, and have sex with him two nights in a row.

sure if we take the account for face value and only look at what's recorded, it could look like Lot was an asshole. BUT!!! You're forgetting what MIGHT have happened. He MIGHT have been doing the smartest thing ever, so consider that next time you read that account.

But seriously I don't know how I even began to listen to this sh*t before let alone think it was from god. Disgusting. I'd say this was up there with Deuteronomy 22:28-29 where it says rapists should marry their victims (after paying the "bride-price" of course)
