  JW Kids Who Lack Sincerity: Are You In The Flipping Truth Or Not?

  did any of you know a jw youth who didn't seem to really even try to be sincere about the "truth"?

  not someone who led a double life while pretending to be a goody-goody jw.

  i mean the kind of kid who went to the meetings and did field service while making minimal effort at maintaining a pretense of being a true believer?.

  What is the alternative? That they just pretend to like what they're doing when they actually hate it? To just go along to get along so as not to offend anyone? Some people just aren't good at that. Some folks don't have a filter - they say what's on their mind. Not necessarily a bad thing and that young, they may not yet know how to distinguish between when it's appropriate to say what you're thinking and when you should just keep it to yourself. Hell, I know some adults that still don't really know. I respect people like that - you always know where you stand with them.

  Replacement For Hubble Telescope

  hubble has been awesome especially considering it started with a manufacturing error and had to be repaired in space.

  it has brought pictures of deep space that we could not have dreamed possible a few decades ago.. plans for its replacement are in progress.

  the james webb space telescope will launch in 2018 and will be put in an orbit 1 million miles above earth.

  Duck Shot Through Neck with Arrow/Dart Still On the Loose 3 Months Later

  this poor little guy was spotted in kansas city about 3 months ago.

  he was first spotted in someone's backyard pool, and has mostly been hanging out in a pond in a kansas city park.

  they keep trying to catch him, but evidently he's clever.. they said on the news tonight that the missouri conservation department is at the park tonight making a more concentrated effort to capture the duck.

  Sad I too hope they are able to catch the poor little guy and get it healed. In an apartment where I used to live, there was a pond with ducks and Canada geese, and I can't remember if it was a duck or a goose now, but one had an arrow through it. I don't know if they were ever able to catch it but it was in the middle of a pretty big pond and was too afraid to move from the middle, making it hard to capture.

  i wonder what the spin will be then w/ the wt.

  I read about this and I honestly cannot believe how anyone could possibly buy into this. But then I think to myself that if I were still in, I would probably drink the koolaid too. I'm sure some people are like wtf? but then they just fall back on "trust in jah" and then put the blinders back on. Once again, smh, can't believe this.

  LOL Data-Dog!! Okay, I guess I was wondering why they would once again time restrict themselves. Were people starting to leave and so they had to do something to make people believe that paradise is "soon" again? I guess the indeterminate time period meant there was not really a carrot to dangle so they had to switch? Just crazy, smh.

  i hear it all the time.. people who decide it isn't the truth and leave are said to deep down know they're leaving the truth, choosing instead whatever ideology suits their imperfect desires.

  in the new dvd the little kid asks why people believe in evolution and the dad basically says people believe whatever they want.

  the actual issue is never actually addresed though: "did life evolve?

  Good question. We have no control over where and to whom we are born, which influence the prevailing beliefs that we are exposed to growing up.

  People inside and outside of high control groups like WTBatShitcrazy find it difficult to challenge their old belief systems and change the way they think. An open mind is needed and a willingness to listen and not just “be right”.

  When you have been told your entire life not just what to believe, but that your beliefs are the only right ones to the exclusion of all others, it takes a great deal of energy to overcome. It’s like you have to rip yourself apart and put yourself back together again. The new you might become something that the old you wouldn’t even recognize, and that can be scary to a lot of folks. This requires a great deal of humility and courage.

  What would be your favorite job if you could do anything.?

  on the basis that most of us realise the w.t wasnt really the best " job" or way to spend our days, it would be fun to find out what people would really have liked to have done with there lifes and if this is still possible.

  or maybe its not even a very realistic ambition just a dream.

  in my dreams i stay at home all day and make a living from being a professional artist.maybe i need a phycholgist?.
