Check out this website. BTW, anybody remember hearing about the intense heat waves back in the 1930's?

for those who make up their mind based on facts.
(for those who deny the findings in the report: did you read it?).

It's been warming up ever since the last ice age. I'm glad.
we plan on going next month .
first time to that area ,any suggestions on must see/do in that area ..?
i just made reservations for the first two nights in a resort motel near porcupine mountains state park..
There's a bear sanctuary near Newberry. We were hesitant to visit it thinking it would be a tourist trap, but it was great. Highly recommend it.
now that the grand boasting sessions are well under way, now is a good time to discuss what they are restricting on supplies there.
the "one towel" rule is quite famous by now.
however, i have heard scattered reports that they are rationing things like toilet paper as well.
"I also remember the lines so long that one woman pushed herself past everybody in line and went in, pulled her underwear down and sat on a sink to use the bathroom. Honest truth, swear on a stack of Bibles. All of this happened at the 8 day long International Assembly in Atlanta in or 1967? or 1968?"
That assembly was in 1969--I was there. The heat was vicious, and I had a 2-year old son. That's probably why he always hated assemblies.
I remember long, long lines at lots of assemblies. There was one assembly where the bathroom attendant actually walked out along the line and asked if there were any "emergencies", and they could go to the head of the line. I thought that was rather kind.

I remember an assembly somewhere where we were "encouraged" to not flush the toilet if you only had a little bit of pee and toilet paper--let the next person flush one time for two people. This was not an announcement from the platform--it was from the bathroom attendant, and I don't know if the person was given those instructions or if it was her own idea.
i talked to a current jw today and he told me that it came out in print from the wtbts that you can be a memebr of the ymca as long as you don't associate with the other worldlys that go there..
omg!!!
just a few years ago i was told that i couldn't be at the ymca because it was a christian org.. .
I remember our circuit actually had the baptism at the local YMCA because the pool at the high school where they were holding their circuit assembly couldn't be used. This had to be 45 years ago.
hello,.
i have been reading this board for some time and would like to ask: why you come here and post?
what do you all hope to accomplish by being here?.
I'm keep hoping that I will some indication that the WTS is losing its strength--hoping that I could some day get my daughter back from the cult.
Though it's not looking too promising, it helps to know that there are other people in the same situation and that I just need to be happy with the blessings that I have and not unhappy about what I don't have.
hi all, .
im wondering if anyone here close to ray franzs widow knows how is she holding up.
onemore.
I've been wondering too.
4 still, christ found these same faithful anointed christians doing their utmost to.
provide timely spiritual food for the household of faith.
from 1879 onward, through.
They do this all the time. Make a blatant statement, then throw in a scripture that has almost no connection as proof. The term "Governing Body" is not found anywhere in the scriptures, but they use the term so often that I'll bet many/most witnesses think it has to be there.
i'm trying to harmonize matt.
23:10 with hebrews 13:17. any thoughts?
or is this a contradiction?.
Yes. I just looked back a few verses, Heb:13:7, "Remember those who are taking the lead among you, who have spoken the word of God to you, and as you contemplate how their conduct turns our imitate their faith." I just don't like the word, "obey."
