oh and my comment about being attacked in chatrooms were the MSN/AOL/YAHOO/TALK CITY chats -not in here, though there were a couple strange ones- perhaps not strange PEOPLE but ODD comments that sounded like a couple people were STILL JW in here and active...said I didn't have a clue and left and all... Rav said it was probably ppl who went from JW straight to Born Again or something. It was funny in chat- we were discussing Dorothy from Wizard of Oz being sent up for counsel about her too short dress and materialistic ruby slippers, etc! LOL. I guess I got a little silly myself

I just came here this month. My sister who has been here awhile (Ravyn) left recently and I didn't think I'd come back in but I did today. Why? Well I discovered the chatroom and have met a lot of nice people and I have never gone into a chatroom without being attacked and I wasn't here so I am probably going to stay. Tinkerbell82 and codeblue and caspian and Jim (I forget the ending to his name) and SpunkyGirl I think is her nic are really great and funny.
I am forenzikz in yahoo messenger as well if any1 wants to IM me- I am pixystyx in MSN too

by Ravyn ini don't know if i am happy about it or sad..... .
i had a wonderful week end---no in-laws, and we went to a pagan pride festival on sunday.
first day i could get out of the house all summer.

That's odd, I am Ravyn's sister and yesterday a baby blue tailed lizard got in the kitchen door and I grabbed a broom to sweep him out and off went his tail... He got out though, but I don't know where he went.

Were you psychologically abused into going to meetings/service ???
by run dont walk inwe have all read and watched so many of the child abuse / sexual abuse scandals, and it makes us all sick to our stomachs, i want to touch on a different kind of abuse, i am not trying to draw a parellel between child abuse and being abused.
the abuse i am talking about is just as bad but so different.
i remember growing up a jw, basically having no choice, whether i wanted to go to the meetings or in service, and i always resented this in my parents.

yes I was too. I got all the threats and quilt trips, Dad shaking his head and that low tone about how MOM was never wanting to go <sortof like if I didn't I didn't love him either like SHE didn't cause you know MY DAD WAS JEHOVAH! I even hated the name. I was also FORCED to answer atleast ONE question per meeting. I feigned sickness yes until I REALLY WAS SICK! out in the service was a horror to me, I did NOT want to go up to strangers door and say ANYTHING! I mother never said a word out in the service, always had the other person do it but I could not get away with that.
