it is only human.
watchtower actually tries to instruct adherents not to gossip and it can land a jw in front of a judicial committee—some do try to follow this admonition.
The gossip-mill is the most powerful tool in the hands of the society, both from a local congregation level, right up to the highest level of the society!
Elders use it strategically to ensure that people are spoken ill of, even if no judicial action can actually be taken!
so in an effort to relieve some pressure here are what i term the low-lites of yesterday's assembly that i had to endure for the sake of family still in and my progressing fade.
apologies in advance for being pretty long winded.. these may not all be the actual words used, but the ones i use are close, and they pretty well say what was said from the platform.. right off the bat in the opening prayer the praises of the governing body were spoken.

had two lovely jws (stephen and ruth) visit this morning.
this was our second study in the last 2 weeks.
they first knocked on my door (bell is out) 3 weeks ago and i shared my testimony and we arranged to meet last tuesday which we did.. our first study went like this:.
So a simple question for them is:
If God has been directing the organisation through the F&DS class since the start of the society, then did God get so many things wrong, or is that proof that God was not directing their message??
They can't have it both ways!

Well my journey started from simply following the societies direction to read all of the old publications. That was the stupidest thing they should ever have recommended to people!
The things I saw and found opened my eyes, and that led me to doing more additional research online. So perhaps I would've reached the same conclusions pre-Internet, but the Internet certainly assisted!
To know that we are not alone is a big thing

now, i have been mentally "awake" for quite a while, but i'll just say march/april this year.
i won't go into detail about what it was that made me "realize" everything, so don't bother asking.. so, i've known for years that i wasn't like most girls in my classes, kingdom hall, and just in general.
from a very young age i had that obvious interest in the same sex, but seeing as i was seemingly the only one feeling that way i would brush it off and eventually i started getting interested in guys.

Maintain your dignity and self respect as you travel this path. There will be those who will make you doubt yourself, or question your self worth. Don't be surprised if some act differently to what you expect...
Ensure that those sort of people are not allowed to take away your dignity.

so, he received a letter that i am wondering if it is one of those open letters that are out there to denote time given.

so just the other day i happened to look out my window to see the cobe and the elder who studied with me on the doors.
it got me thinking.. i remember one day, during my study that he said he loved me.
although he meant this as a "brother" it actually sent me into, what i can only describe as shock and alarm!

As we know, the "love" is conditional on you acting, thinking, and living EXACTLY as you are told by the society...otherwise that "love" dries up...
so not having turned in a time-slip in a loooooooong time and making fewer and fewer meetings, and from time to time attending a local church service... the majority of local dubs are overtly shunning me.
there are those who i talk to and who visit our home from time to time, but this last meeting i went to hardly anyone made eye contact, when i greeted folks passing by me, they ignored me.
it actually felt good.. i was surprised at my reaction.
