  i'm quite surprised about the new approach of some local congregation brothers respect about my fade.... funny, ilegal and very dangerous in view of the different laws regarding personal data and minorities in spain and in the eu.... i already organized a press meeting with main newspapers in spain.

  many has shown interest in this situation.

  the fact of that a parallel judicial system do exist is amazing them.

  The best way for a witness to wake up, is to simply read the societies own older publications!

  once again the society is on a push to scare witnesses away from doing any research, or "stumbling" upon any "apostate" material (from workmates, neighbors, or online).

  however, the most enlightening, mind blowing and eye opening things are found simple by reading the early publications themselves!.

  read how ct russel, (the supposed channel god was using) had the most far fetched and laughable ideas, such as obtaining pivotal dates by measuring the pyramids of egypt!...

  Bumped for a new bunch of lurkers...

  I was asked the other day what made me first have doubts. The reality is, I didn't have doubts until I followed the societies OWN advice they have said many times, which was "we should enjoy reading the rich history of Jehovah's organisation in the older publications" etc... (There have been several articles about this over the years.)

  I did that, and that's where I found so many odd things we were never told about!

  Then the extended research began, and that uncovered so much more!....Then the dam wall burst open....

  why is it that we have chosen to step away from the society that we once viewed as "the truth", despite the consequences for doing so?.

  Update: Got my Judicial Committee cancelled

  update: so, after the meeting i had with elders a few weeks ago as outlined in my original thread, they met as a body and once again called to tell me that after considering my case they still thought a judicial committee should be held against me and asked to be there "thursday at 7:30".

  all of this, i remind you, because of posting coc on facebook.

  we all gossip.

  it is only human.

  watchtower actually tries to instruct adherents not to gossip and it can land a jw in front of a judicial committee—some do try to follow this admonition.

  Well, I cant actually say, but I did hear from a sister's friend in another congregation who's husband is an elder, that the CO told them that in another part of the world the brothers did report that there are more that get hurt by gossip each day. But he did say to not tell anyone, but I know I can trust you to not share this news because we are friends...so shhh

  Midweek meeting video

  did anybody see the service meeting video this week?.

  australian sister was sexually abused as a child and thought of ending her life at 14 years old, sometime later jw's call on her father who accepts a study and eventually the whole family becomes witnesses, life gets much better as the sister immerses herself in pioneering etc, she still has some dark days but prayer along with going for walks and swimming has helped her cope with bad memories of child abuse, the new system (just around the corner) will completely fix everything......... i'm dumbfounded, the hypocrisy has literally rendered me speechless......comments anybody?.

  Yes, as Tor1500 says, it is a case of classic "misdirect", like the old '3 card hustle' game...

  They are attempting to misdirect the attention in Australia from the 1006 cases of unreported child abuse since 1950 (out of a total of presently 60,000 witnesses - do the maths...that is a HUGE proportion of families affected!)

  Where is the humble admission that "it happens even amongst witnesses"

  Where was the recommendation to "seek professional counselling or speak to authorities"?

  Sure, if that sister's case is genuine, we feel empathy for her. But what about all the other cases where the society had the power to PREVENT or REPORT cases that happened inside?
