so just wondering, how many of you found yourselves (or still find yourselves) becoming phyiscally ill in some way during the time of fading?.
i know that when i look back, for several years even before i was awake to the many issues and facts about the society, i would feel ill at assemblies or conventions.
I was just thinking too, that many witnesses feel guilty, because the society keeps telling them "that God's people are the happiest on earth" etc. And yet, so many witnesses feel stressed or anxious all the time.
So they then feel GUILTY because they are SUPPOSED to be so "happy", yet don't feel so...
That must play havoc with the ones with low self esteem...

Bumped for new members
sitting there watching the new hbo series last night, i couldn't help but laugh and think about the similarities.
the creators (the gods) and the hosts (their creations) have an interesting relationship.. the "hosts" are programmed to have free thinking but only up to a point.
just like the witnesses.
It is not nudity James if they are "just robots"... (haha)
It is a great show!
The similarity between hosts "waking up" and seeing reality for what it is, is great! (very good comparsion to witness world!)
Also, the way they recognise "wrong or innapropriate behaviour" carried out toward them is also very relatable to the witness world!
i may not have put this in the correct spot, but i do think it's scandalous the way time gets counted now.
i've seen a cart at the edge of our farmer's market, never anyone close enough to talk.
yesterday was a drizzly day and there were two carts set up, covered in plastic, "witnessing" on their own.

The premise the society uses for counting time is so false! They SAY it is "so we know how much activity is done, and therefore we know how much material to produce etc..."
Then if that is the REAL reason, the report slips should be ANONYMOUS! Why does the name need to be on it??

Yes, that level of control and interference in others lives is a clear sign of a cult like group.
okay there has been lots of buzz about the feb 2017 wt where they say the governing body is not inspired nor infallible.
yet, they are still using the baptism questions.
the second one being... "do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of jehovah’s witnesses in association with god’s spirit-directedorganization?".
It is really quite simple...

Yes! It should be a warning bell when they say:
"We ALONE are God's channel of communication..." as written in the publications, (and then deny that very same claim when questioned by the authorities such Jackson did with the Australian Royal Commission!)

eventually when i become a parent i became consumed with negativity, doubt (blood issue) & depression.

I have had a similar thing happen! I am well known in my local business community, and over the last few years I have had several clients comment that "You seem much happier and positive and less stressed or anxious"
One who knew I was a witness, asked one day "How is your local hall going?" To which I replied simply "Oh, I don't go there anymore" Her reply was priceless: "I Knew it! You are so much calmer and relaxed now. Well done"
had our midweek meeting last night.
they had a resolution to send an extra (i wanna say $1100 but i only remember it was at least $1000) per month to forward the kingdom preaching work etc.. you know how they work in the kh...no one votes against anything.
i abstained as i almost have always done.
