I wrote to Mr. Angus Stewart regarding the "inactive" status claims made by the Watchtower at the ARC
by EdenOne inthis is the email i have just sent to mr. stewart angus, who has been conducting the questioning of the jw leaders during the australian royal commission dealing with child abuse cases among the jehovah's witnesses, concerning the claims made that a jehovah witness who wishes to walk away from the organization can simply become inactive and avoid being shunned:.

Well done!
Yes, after the first proceedings (case study 29) I also contacted the ARC and helped them to understand the "preemptive shunning" that occurs to ones who have NOT disassociated. By this I mean ones who are just viewed as "spiritually weak".
These ones too are given a wide berth.
The2016 convention videos helped to make this clear, as does all of our individual cases.

The reality of "shunning" and character assasination highlighted at the Australian Royal Commission
by stuckinarut2 inonce again, the arc has brilliantly highlighted the reality that any witness who either fades or disassociates is subjected to active official shunning by the organization.. the "brothers" tried to state that it was the choice of the indiviual who steps away from the organization to shun them!
they actually tried to make it out to be the fault of the one who leaves!
then they tried to say that those who fade are not shunned!.

The ARC know that fact, and were obviously frustrated at the lack of honesty by Spinks and O'Brien.

What's up with the numbering of the songs and reading them off the screen?
by Spiral ini don't have to go very often, but last time i took my mother they were singing songs off a screen.
the numbers weren't the same as the songs with the same number on my tablet.
seemed like a lot of people were confused, but a couple of more gregarious attendees were singing (and swaying a bit) "church-style".

Baptism at 10 years of age! March 2017 broadcast

we have seen that during the march 2017 broadcast, m stephen lett has openly praised children who get baptised as young as 10!.
so lets summarize why it is wrong to push child baptism (not far off "infant baptism" that jws condemn other churches for).

So lets summarize why it is wrong to push CHILD baptism (not far off "Infant Baptism" that JWs condemn other churches for)
- Too young to drive a car
- Too young to open a bank account
- Too young to marry
- Too young to decide their own education or career
- Too young to cross a big road on their own
- Too young to get a job
- Too young to smoke
- Too young to drink alcohol
- Too young to travel on their own on a holiday
- Too young and naïve and gullible to trust all adults
- Too young to buy a house
- Too young to vote
- Too young to choose their own medical procedures
- Too young to have sex
- Too young to play with matches
- Too young to fill a car with fuel
- Too young to use power tools
- Too young to live alone
Shall we go on??

So here the society is actively using witness peer pressure to "encourage" all young children to get baptised. The results of which have FAR reaching implications if they ever change their minds as they grow.
A child can not fully understand the importance of such a step, nor its effects on their lives. Heck, a child cant even understand the doctrines or history of the organization that they are committing to at that age!
Seriously GB, you should be ashamed of yourselves for scraping the barrel like this all in the name of trying to make the numbers seem like they are growing! If witnesses didn't have kids (which was actively discouraged remember), then there would be no growth, as most comes from born-ins!

So once again, just as the scribes and Pharisees did in Jesus day, the society has ADDED to the bible. The scriptures obviously are not sufficient, but require a CONFIDENTIAL document to be created in order to explain things....
