  i have been told that there is to be a special talk linked via video hook up all around australia this saturday april 1st?

  a 3 hour program apparently?.

  someone said it was a governing body speaker?.

  i really don't know what to expect of this.

  they are being labelled extremists in russia and are close to being banned.

  so the show that they aren't extremists they encourage all jw's worldwide to bombard the kremlin and court with millions on letters..

  after cyclone debbie pounded her way across the queensland coast she then dropped massive amounts of rain onto the land.

  one area just west of mackay was hit with a metre of rain in 48 hours.. lots of damage towns going under lives lost.. go the abc.net.au/news..

  So what about the fact that much of what "headquarters" has dispensed has proven to be incorrect over the years?

  Was "headquarters" getting things wrong, or was God having a bad day when he dispensed such "spiritual truths" to them, and needed a "do-over" to get it correct??

  jerome over on discuss the truth has picked up on something interesting.. in the july watchtower on page 28 of the article entitled “winning the battle for your mind” the following statement is made “keep in mind that satan does not want you to think clearly or reason things out well.

  because propaganda is likely to be most effective, says one source, if people… are discouraged from thinking critically.”.

  the quote comes from a book entitled: “media and society in the twentieth century: a historical introduction by lyn gorman, david mclean" the watchtower however, chose to leave out a portion of the quote.. the full quote is "therefore, it is likely to be most effective if people do not have access to multiple sources of information and if they are discouraged from thinking critically.. the following sentence which the watchtower also decided was best not to include states,.

  Konceptual99: They rely on the lack of research done by the vast majority to allow the potentially embarrassing editing of the original quote and it's context to slip by unnoticed.

  Yes, sadly, 99% of witnesses WILL NOT look for the actual quote from the original source if it has been quoted in the society's material! They will just take it as factual and correct BECAUSE it is in the material.

  "Cautious as serpents, Innocent as doves" ? How does this fit in with the moves against Russia??

  we know that jesus supposedly said at matthew 10:16.

  "be cautious as serpents, yet innocent as doves".. so , with all the hype going on about russia, and the "personal" letter writing campaign the gb is making all witnesses be a part of, this scripture came to mind.. surely this action is the very opposite of being "cautious"!?

  surely it is not being "innocent" as to world affairs and political activities?.

  Its a case of 'what came first, the chicken or the egg?'

  Would this person have suffered such emotional turmoil that led to a life of troubles if they were NOT raised in the cult?

  The cult HAS to take some responsibility for screwing up their life, which in turn led to unfortunate choices for them...

  My heart goes out to their loved ones.
