You will be impressed with his dignity and poise. Also his well presented points.
My recommendation is take good care of the book! It is rare....

i mean blow their fucking brains out..
Ask "god" that question.
there seems to be a number of different ways that apostates try to get jehovah's witnesses realise they do not have the truth, ranging from subtle comments to aggressive attacks.
do you have any that looking back helped you finally leave.
some of the methods include:.
As a "good witness" I would never give even the slightest credibility to anything said by one who had left the org, especially one who displayed the cliché "apostate" tendencies.
The best result comes from a casually dropped, calmly spoken, BRIEF, sentence.....that encourages the mind to dwell on something.
One lady who had left simply said a sentence to me once that was similar to the famous Aldous Huxley quote: "Facts do not cease to exist just because they are ignored"
That stuck with me.....
hello there.. my father just claimed that the good thing about being a witness was how they just let the bible interpret itself.
now i know the irony in this statement, but i dont know what to show him that he just cant discard with some ignorant excuse.
any ideas?
The bible records Jesus as condemning the religious leaders of his day for "making the word of God invalid because of their traditions" (Mark 7:13)
The Society / JW are the very epitome of that!
They have "gone beyond the things written" IN SO MANY WAYS
so a week or so ago we received an invitation for a jw friend's wedding anniversary party in the mail.it was addressed to 'the andersen family' (and not just mrs. andersen & baby andersen) which was pleasant of course, but not a huge surprise given the type of person who said friend is.. however, i already prepared myself to be uninvited after all.
some time ago, there was a congregation farewell party/get-together.to my surprise, i was invited too!
an elder specifically came over to my house to tell me.then some weeks later, he visited again, being terribly sorry but the invitation was revoked as the congregation got concerned over my possible presence.. with that debacle in mind, i wasn't surprised to receive a message from my friend 'hey are you at home?
Wow!
Sorry to hear.
This just proves how rampant gossip and slanderous talk is amongst witnesses!
They will just revel in the opportunity to speak in a derogatory way about any who no longer attend meetings!
Oh, but this isn't a cult of course.....
for any lurkers who don't believe the watchtower taught that the world would end in 1975... rare jehovah's witnesses 1968 interview "armageddon and 1975" london watchtower rep speaks to bbc.
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=npmt-ml-m-g. --------.
but where will this system of things be by that time?
Great thread!
Thanks for bumping.
It is simply mind blowing to see how the society is attempting to white wash history with the 2017 convention video!
HOW can they possibly think they can get away with such crafty manipulation??
we know that the teaching that witnesses adhere to is that the "universal issue of sovereignty" is the battle between jehovah and satan.. this belief means that the almighty is happy to sit back and allow the world to go to pieces in order to prove his point..... so does that mean all the collateral damage and deaths are all ok?
should we be tolerant of god sitting back while children are killed by extremists?.
or does this prove that god isn't really there?.

hey to everyone here... so i have never been one for writing much of my feelings down for other people to see.
this however has become so important to me and i may be able to help someone who dares go looking for answers some place other than the jw.org website.
first of all i would like to thank anybody and everybody who had the courage enough to write their experience in the organisation.
Bumped for a new overlapping generation of forum members....
i have 4 computers that are all running windows 10 version 1703.. 1. laptop that came with windows 10 was updated to version 1703 - watchtower library runs fine.
2. laptop that came with windows 8 was updated to windows 10 for free - watchtower library runs fine.
3. laptop that came with windows 7 64 home was updated to windows 10 for free - watchtower library does not run.
The holy spirit is preventing its use by someone who frequents apostate forums...
more rutherford ramblings.. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0b2ndok8xmmt-b3zhwndrtuf0bk0/view?usp=sharing.
Yes, Rutherfords manner was so awful and tactless!
We found an original copy of his 1940 booklet "The Fifth Column" in the State Library last weekend.
It was so full of blatant statements designed to incite anger towards the govts of all nations. After reading it, there is no wonder why "persecution" took place on JWs!
They brought it on themselves with this awful tirade of comments.
They poked the hornets nests....then complained when they got stung!
