  15 jehovah’s people remain loyal to the messianic kingdom not only by refusing military service but also by respectfully declining to join in nationalistic ceremonies.

  especially since the outbreak of world war ii, a wave of nationalistic fervor has swept the globe.

  This Story Says It All

  this story shows the sad reality of being a jw in a medical emergency, and how incredibly difficult it is to make an informed, free choice about medical care.

  it also shows that for jw's, obeying watchtower leaders is more important than marriage or even the life of your child.

  Old magazines and single page tracts

  in the july jw broadcast in the section about the cart work worldwide did you notice how many old books magazines and single page tracts they had on the carts to give to the general public.

  So that proves that it is NOT the substance of the information that brings people into the org...as the old material is now outdated.

  It is an emotional attraction that brings people in...

  So it wouldn't matter what the books or tracts say,in fact the pages could be blank, and people who are inclined would still come in....

  Watchtower teaches that Jesus dying on the stake is no longer certain

  the watchtower has held for many years that jesus died on a stake and held strongly to this teaching.

  w 1951 3/15 the above agrees with the new world translation of the christian greek scriptures in its appendix, page 769, in saying that the instrument upon which jesus was nailed was a stake without a crossbeam, and not the religiously represented “cross”; and that the greek word used for that instrument in ancient time meant a “stake” and not the conventional religious cross.

  we all know watchtower doesn't encourage their members do research for themselves.

  can anyone point out any articles where it mentions this?

  any help would be appreciated.

  "move ahead with Jehovah's organisation"

  paragraph 12

  We may think of study as being hard work, yes involving heavy research. But in Jehovah's organisation it is not necessary to spend a lot of time and energy in research for there are brothers in the organisation assigned to do that very thing, to help you who do not have much time for this.

  Yes, the very notion of "Free will" being highlighted as a gift proves that it is NOT free, as it has been "bestowed" onto humans... therefore negating the very idea of it being "free"
