  Parents who try to make you feel guilty.

  when parents say all the things we've done for you and your not doing anything for us in return like going to meetings, witnessing, answering up etc... how do you respond to parents?.

  Simply offer them this brief statement:

  "Dad, Mom, I am very thankful that you raised me to value truth and honesty in all things. You taught me the importance of using my God given brain to ensure that I never betray my conscience. Thank you. It is for this reason that I have chosen to step aside from the Organization."

  A "Three-fold cord"?

  we all know of the well used scripture that speaks of "a three-fold cord" in marriage.. sure, it is meant to indicate that any marriage that has "god" in it as the foundation of the couple's life will be successful.

  but how often have we noticed that what it really means for witnesses is that the society, or the gb has the right to be an unwelcome and nosey intruder in the lives of couples.

  every decision that family unit makes is influenced by the organisation.

  We all know of the well used scripture that speaks of "a three-fold cord" in marriage.

  Sure, it is meant to indicate that any marriage that has "God" in it as the foundation of the couple's life will be successful.

  But how often have we noticed that what it really means for witnesses is that the Society, or the GB has the right to be an unwelcome and nosey intruder in the lives of couples. Every decision that family unit makes is influenced by the Organisation. Whether it be the house they buy, the car they drive, or the jobs they take. Then of course, it affects the personal intimacies of a family.

  So, really, does an organisation have the right to be an intrusive third wheel in a relationship? Do they really have the right to impose their views on a family unit?

  this happened to my me and my wife a few week ago.

  a marking talk was given at the mid-week meeting in which no names were mentioned yet a detailed description of the "offending bastards" was delivered so that there as no doubt who this "pond scum" might be.

  It seems that this pattern of behaviour is repeated the world over by the society...

  It really is so messed up! Such abusive behaviour. It seems many of us have been subjected to the same stuff.

  As has been said though, if we run into any witness in the street, show by our happy demeanour that we are not the ones with the problem.

  Bravo!

  It seems that "Satan's System" understands what APPROPRIATE BOUNDARIES are!

  (I would love to take legal action against the sister that worked for us and delved through our computer during work time, found this site and reported our research to the elders! I have it on good authority that she would face some serious legal charges...)

  Thanks for the thread post TPTT.

  Its really a very cowardly move when we think about it. Slander someone's name and reputation, yet allow them no chance to repudiate the malicious rumours or embellished stories!

  It smacks of a desperate high control regime who feels they have the right to ruin the lives of those who choose to simply stand up for Truth and Honesty.

  Well, when I say "ruin the lives" , that would only occur if we actually cared about what a bunch of conditional ex friends gossip about....

  marriage"equality" survey, Australia.

  the australian govt has set out a survey to see if people are in favour of changing the marriage act to include same sex couples.. hm here have received their papers?

  the survey promises to be anonymous but has a substantial bar code at the bottom... anonymous yeah right.. the marriage act once said "two people" then a previous prime minister changed it to say "man and woman" all that is needed to amend this situation as required by the gay community is change it back again to "two people" there, done and dusted.. and millions of dollars need not be wasted on this survey which is not compulsory as is voting in australia.

  can anyone here who still goes to kh tell us if this has had a ruling from the platform?.
