How To Fade Away Cleanly?

this is my first post and hopefully i can get some advice and input.

i have been actively involved with the organization for a little over 10 years now.

i began studying in high school, got baptized and my family fortunately did not.

Welcome to our wonderful community forum!

As you fade, ensure that you maintain your dignity, poise and grace.

Be the same guy as you have always been. Don't play into the cliche of what an inactive person becomes.

Be happy, be warm and friendly. But do not live under the illusion that all your "friends" will retain the same warmth toward you, or be in touch with you as much. As you fade out of their witness circle, you will be slowly ignored, then forgotten. Then the rumours will start that will malign your name and character.

I don't say any of those things to discourage you or to be harsh. But being aware of the reality will equip you to handle the inevitable.

Most of all as it has been well said here on the forum : THE BEST REVENGE (or answer) IS TO LIVE A HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL LIFE.

My Personal Study

my current personal study is about the resurection.besides the nine well known resurections (the son of the zaraphath widow, the son of the shulamite woman, the man whose body touched elisha's bones, lazarus, jesus, son of the widow nain, the daughter of jairus, dorcas and eutychus).

there was enoch who god 'transfered' so he wouldn't see death and elijah who god took away in a flaming chariot hidden in a whilwind!

as well as these there were the holy men ofjerusalem resurrected at the same time as jesus.

from facebook:just saw my jw mother after not seeing her for more than 2 years.

when i do see her, it is brief, she never asks about my life, doesn't ask about my 4 children her grandchildren, doesn't ask about my grandchildren...her great grandchildren, she doesn't ask about my other 2 brothers that she is also alienated from, she doesn't ask about my brothers family.

she doesn't talk about the jw/org either.

They will never stop having Meetings or gatherings.

The Group-Think is too valuable to reinforce the believers.

Gathering in a group with others is the KEY way to make people feel accepted and part of something. It is the best way to reinforce behaviour and quell any doubts or questioning. Just seeing your "friends" all doing the same thing, and "learning" the same thing will ensure no-one wants to break ranks.

I doubt they will ever phase out meetings in some form or another.

coroner says however we must respect her belief and there was no undue influence.

Oh Steph! Yes, that is mind blowing when a loved one acts like that! So unreasonable. I have the same issue with brain dead family members...

1) god is shown to be forcing jonah against his will.

(god would not go against the free-will of his children because history shows: he doesn’t punish atheists nor does he do any favors to theists).

We know it is not literal, and is merely a metaphor...but the tragic thing is that JWs and most Christians believe it was a REAL account of a FACTUAL person.

It is mind blowing to think that a "sane" person can think that way.

people who were followers were called bible students.

but when, exactly, did it change from a "movement" to a "religion"?

there is nothing on heaven or earth that could ever be shown to be false or incorrect in our entire .

Yep.... the whole "factual account" is kind of let down by the idea of living inside a fish for three days....

Serioulsy, any biblical believer who takes this as a literal account is down right crazy....
