Nice post!
Um, so was it yesterday?
I didn't even know...nor did I care.
It is amazing once we "awaken" how insignificant the whole ritual is...
i missed my first memorial last year in 60 years.
it always amazed me on this special night that the jw's forget how to park their cars in the parking lot.
i would pull in with my wife and there are 5 brothers giving directions on where and how to park my car.
Nice post!

i was musing over this scripture at proverbs 3:27.
"do not hold back good from those to whom it is due , if it is in the power of your hand to do so".
this passage has often been used to show that if we have the means, or opportunity to do good, or to assist others in need, we should act.
NVR2L8 and days of future past! Great thoughts! Wow!
the next time i see the jdubs standing or sitting by their carts sipping their coffee lattes or updating their facebook pages, i am going to approach them with the following thought process acting as an interested person.. do jw's believe the end is near?.
do you consider your preaching work to be urgent?.
why do you just let people walk by if their very lives are at stake?
"Tools" indeed!

This passage has often been used to show that if we have the means, or opportunity to do good, or to assist others in need, we should act. Failing to do so shows neglect, and a lack of love.
So thinking of JW theology, and applying it to Jehovah "allowing" satanic wickedness on the earth, it doesn't add up!
JWs teach that Jehovah is allowing satan to rule over this earth, and inflict all sort of suffering on individuals until he decides to act and save all worthy ones....
But would that scenario work in a family environment?
Lets say mother and father are having an argument. As they battle, the small helpless children are neglected and not fed for weeks, and have wounds and injuries that are not attended to. They sit in squalor and filth. Father thinks, "well, that's ok, because once this argument is over, I will attend to their issues"
But in the meantime, those children experience real suffering, for something that is NOT their fault.
So too with Jehovah.
What he is apparently doing is failing to show love by neglecting his children while he has a dummy spit argument with another powerful being...
He is "holding back good"
Thoughts?
it's goodbye to bristol - hengrove congregation of jw's and the inmates ... err ... members, will be sent to two other bristol congregations either side of it.. i'm told by two elders from bristol, england it is being disbanded on may 1st 2018. this is the 2nd congregation in this circuit to be disbanded recently - the 1st being portishead in late 2014.. hooray!.
You say that the Portishead cong has been disbanded too some "seven months" back?
Sounds like "sour times", as it is "over", and an "SOS" should be sent out to those "numb" by the news that "magic doors" can no longer be knocked on by "strangers". Although JWs will say "we carry on" preaching along the "roads" while wearing our cool "threads" and "nylon smiles" while in the "mourning air"!
OK...anyone??? anyone???
hello??
a great summary of his career:.

and an appalling development since his death illustrating "the illusion of knowledge:".
Nice post! Thanks Doubtful1799!
as some of you may remember from a previous post of mine, myself and my husband are in the process of fading.
we began our fade in jan 2017 and haven't been to a meeting since may 2017. to say this time has been a struggle is an understatement.
it has been a lonely time for us, losing all of our so called friends.
Hi Emily!
Lovely to meet you and your husband here on the forum! Please feel welcome here. This is a great community of people who understand exactly what you are going through
Your post is EXACTLY what we have experienced! (feel free to send me a private message if you wish)
Yes, there was a talk about it.
Also, you can bet that the elders (knowing your status as ones who are fading) will have strategically created or allowed rumours to spread about you guys. They will justify such as "a warning to the flock" because of your inactivity. you know - you could be a "danger to others spirituality" you know!
Hang in there. Keep posting all the social media stuff you like.
Show by your posts that you guys are living a happy and successful life! That kills JWs, who assume that all who stop attending are sad, bitter or negative. Prove them wrong
Love to you guys!
i used to get a weird feeling in my stomach when i would see a witness approaching.... almost a sense of dread.
now, i really don’t care.
i have even made it a point to do the approaching when i see a witness trying to convert an ignorant person..
In addition to the comments above, if I see one that I know, I make sure I convey a happy, positive and pleasant demeanor. This negates the spin that the Society tries to tell them, "that everyone who leaves 'the truth' is unhappy or bitter"
gary carver sure has some interesting friends.
look to your right.https://leadferret.com/directory/person/gary-carver/11516928atlantis!.
