  i am looking for any instructions, preferably written by the society, on recording meetings and optionally converting to a cd.. i made a similar request a few years ago, but the discussion immeditaly went off the topic, and i never received a response.. does anyone have a copy of those instructions available?.

  does anyone know what program they use to edit the files?.

  anyone that has been a jw would be familiar with any or all the following scenarios.. 1. you get offered a full time position or promotion after submitting a pioneer application.. 2. a really great bible student you have gets offered a job which means they have to move or have no time for study anymore.. 3. a promising return visit begins a new relationship and the new bf/gf is'nt favourable to jws so the great rv backs off.. 4. a married sister falls pregnant right after her and her husband are invited to bethel or circuit work or gilead.. 5.a couple needs to start caring for an aging parent right after they decide to move to where the need is greater.. etc, etc, etc.

  most if not all jw's would tell you satan is to blame,.... or is he?.

  Ah yes... Great thread!

  i have often thought the same...

  funny too how they will attribute Jehovah as saving someone in a disaster, or directing someone to a sheeplike person in the field...or some scenario like that...BUT if a witness dies in a disaster , or gets attacked out witnessing, it was just "time and unforseen occurrence"!

  as we know there have been some strange new quotes over the last few recent years...such as the classic:.

  "we may be asked to do whatever, even if it doesnt appear sound from a human standpoint etc..." (words to that effect).

  I would like to compile a list for future use that has many of these alarming comments...I feel that there will be a need very soon to use these to help shine a spotlight on just how strange and paranoid the org has become....

  Can anyone please assist with quotes / references?

  UNITY vs CONFORMITY - discuss.

  i've read the walsh trial that indicates the societies stance of ' unity at all costs, even if we're wrong ' but that sounds more like conformity to me.

  so how do other religions or movements justify the range of beliefs within their respective movements?

  for example, the born again movement, a massive range of beliefs, but they don't insist on conformity.

  I know him personally. He is a nice young guy. Always polite, quiet spoken.

  he is doing ok...seems to be in remission now from the cancer.

  i was recently appointed an elder, about 6 months ago now, and that is exactly two years after my awakenning, but funny that the appointment came also about 2 years after i had completely lost all faith in god and had been leading a full time anti-jw life .

  makes you wonder the role of the holy spirit in the entire nomination or appointment process.. .
