by pale.emperor inlast night i had jw broadcasting on in the background while i was working, i like to keep up to date with their crap.
which is strange because when i actually was a jw i hated reading or watching their material.. anyway, on the streaming section, anthony morris comes on screen telling me that higher education is bad and "the better the university, the greater the danger".
i never would have believed it if i hadn't seen him say it myself.

Was "headquarters" getting things wrong, or was God having a bad day when he dispensed such "spiritual truths" to them, and needed a "do-over" to get it correct??

because propaganda is likely to be most effective, says one source, if people… are discouraged from thinking critically.”.
the quote comes from a book entitled: “media and society in the twentieth century: a historical introduction by lyn gorman, david mclean" the watchtower however, chose to leave out a portion of the quote.. the full quote is "therefore, it is likely to be most effective if people do not have access to multiple sources of information and if they are discouraged from thinking critically.. the following sentence which the watchtower also decided was best not to include states,.

Yes, sadly, 99% of witnesses WILL NOT look for the actual quote from the original source if it has been quoted in the society's material! They will just take it as factual and correct BECAUSE it is in the material.
The other 5% who DO research the original, end up on forums like this with us!

by stuckinarut2 inwe know that jesus supposedly said at matthew 10:16.
"be cautious as serpents, yet innocent as doves".. so , with all the hype going on about russia, and the "personal" letter writing campaign the gb is making all witnesses be a part of, this scripture came to mind.. surely this action is the very opposite of being "cautious"!?
surely it is not being "innocent" as to world affairs and political activities?.
