Just thinking too, considering that the GB claim to be "God's channel and mouthpiece" , then the puppet / muppet comparison rings true!

Let's all play a game! What does this passage of the Bible tell us about Jehovah?
by stuckinarut2 inlets play a fun game?.
we all know that as witnesses, we were constantly told to read the bible, and ask ourselves what the passage we read reveals about god.. as an example, here is a wt that highlights this.. may 2016 wt study edition "benefit fully from jehovah's provisions".

Lets play a fun game?
We all know that as witnesses, we were constantly told to read the bible, and ask ourselves what the passage we read reveals about God.
As an example, here is a WT that highlights this.
May 2016 WT study edition "Benefit Fully From Jehovah's Provisions"
8 Ask questions. As you read a Bible passage, take time to pause and ask yourself such questions as these: ‘What does this tell me about Jehovah? How can I apply this information in my life? How can I use it to help others?’ When we reflect on such questions, we will surely get more out of our bible reading.
So with this in mind, can we all come up with a disturbing section of the bible to help "reveal God's personality"?
I'll start:
Lot. A so called friend of God....so what does that tell us about God's thoughts on daughters?

"Lets imitate faithful Lot of old...."
by stuckinarut2 ini know we have all discussed at length the account / story of lot.... another thought occurred to me today...lets analyse his real personality,.
in the very beginning of the account, lot is shown to be a selfish man...one that chose the better land and area..... then he was opportunistic and materialistic and kept living in a nice city, even though he was supposedly shocked by the immorality and lawlessness..... then we see him to be cowardly when he decided to send out his daughters to be pack raped.. later we learn he was heartless as he allowed his wife to turn around and look, and didnt protect her from doing so.. then we know he was lacking in self control and allowed himself to get drunk...twice.. then we know he was dismissive and unrestrained and a general sicko when he had sex with his daughters...twice in a row!.
oh, but no...lets all praise him for being a righteous man.????!!!.

Baptized at a young age, homeschooled, and pioneered ...
by Wild_Thing inand all of this by the time i was 14. i was the youngest person in my pioneer school.
was anybody else in the trenches (to this degree) at such a young age?.
i look back on it now and marvel at how isolated i was.

Home-schooling amongst witnesses is a massive thing in my part of the world sadly.
The "Spiritual families" are wearing this as a badge of honour!
Too bad it will bite them in the back side when these kids get older....

Told My Parents Yesterday That I Don't Want to Be a JW
by Saethydd ini wasn't entirely sure what to expect when i made the decision to tell my parents how i really feel, but i was prepared for the worst, fortunately, it didn't come to that.
after i told them i didn't want to go to the meetings anymore it led to a long talk with them.
they made a number of irksome and woefully uninformed statements but at least they were not aggressive and have said that they won't force me to move out over this, though, i can tell they are hoping they can convince me to "accept the truth," as long as i still live with them.

Well done!
The first step to freedom is being confident to stand up for your own truth. You have done this!
Once we let go of the FOG (Fear Obligation Guilt) imposed onto us by a belief system not of our choosing, we can truly live life.
Proud of you!
