  What Simon said!

  It was always a monumental "show off" for all involved.

  The ones who were "chosen" to hand the books out were the "spiritual youth" who got to claim bragging rights.

  Then as Simon said, the clamouring to get the books first was mind blowing in the stupidity!

  The hype the GB created was always uncomfortable.

  When I was in Bethel, the new releases were even in a sectioned off area of the Shipping dept that was restricted so that no "ordinary non approved" bethelite could see the books before the convention!

  no doubt we are all overjoyed at how we have progressed since breaking the shackles of the society!.

  for those that have been here on this forum for some time, have you ever looked back at the version of "you" that first started posting here, and compared yourself with where you are at now?.

  i am overjoyed at how much i have grown as a person!.

  It is also amazing at how many of us have changed our views of a "god"!

  Would it be true to say that most who wake up to TTATT also wake up from a dependency to believe in divine entities?

  My mums dying she refuses blood transfusion...the horror.

  mum has a mild form of lukeimia if she took blood like normal people she could live to be 100. but no, anointed sisters dont compromise jehovah wont allow it.

  so here i am moving to sydney for one month going to hospital everyday putting my life on hold to watch my mother die slowly.

  watching her gasp for air, struggle to breath.

  two witnesses came to my door the other day and i politely told them that i was not interested.

  they told me that it was ok and that what they were handing out was not anything religious.

  i told them sorry and that i was still not interested.

  i was just updating the libsyn plugin, as libsyn hosts my podcasts, and suddenly there were "internal server errors" and i got the following message:.

  i have't seen any for a while so i thought i'd contribute one.

  Yes, even the video shown on the Friday of the convention had the sister give up an afternoon of painting (her hobby evidently ) because she had to go out on a bible study!

  That not so subtle direction from the GB was that even scheduled personal time should be readily given up in favour of "theocratic" activities...
