  So if the pursuit of education that allows one to earn money is NOT important, then obviously it is NOT important to donate such money to the Society??

  the older woman was severely hurt.

  Pre 2000 magazines now on JW Org- have there been alterations to the originals?

  just wanted to ask if anyone has found any glaring changes to the pre- 2000 wt or awake articles that have been put online compared to the original issues?.

  New brochure about donations.

  in this midweek meeting the local needs was a booooring speech about the new brochure on donations.

  the wt must think the jws are dying to know how to give their money.. well, it's not new this is disgusting but this time, after i ve been slightly hinting people here and there for a year about the 'abnormal request of money' and remind them that 'the faithful slave wasn't like that until some time ago', this time i saw their faces.

  they did get bothered with that talk.

  advice please/data protection

  i have just received an email from an elder's wife regarding the new data protection laws.

  between the lines it sounds like she has been asked to contact me.. she says they 'don't want to leave me out' so they want me to fill out the form as 'i'm still part of the congregation'.

  also, my blood card needs updating, apparently.. the elder in charge will be in contact.. obviously, i'm not doing either, but what do i do?

  Yes, ignore it.

  Even replying, will imply that they have some kind of impact or authority over you.

  Ignoring them shows that they have NO control or authority over you.

  me too, i had to have a study with a jw.

  then, a month or two later, another one of my ‘worldly’ mates (dan) asked me “are you going out with emma?” i told him no.

  dan had also asked rob himself and rob had said that he wasn’t involved with emma.

  my mother introduced me to her jw world when i was 12. i had to attend the weekly book study....boring!!!!

  plus the disney tv show was on tuesday eve 8 to 9 and once a month they did a space show......no matter how hard i tried couldn’t get out of that bk study.
