Hey,
A friend of mine sent me this link:

It's really interesting, and will tell you what religion your beliefs are most suited to.
I find it funny that JW's came up as 24th out of a possible 27 for me.
Guess my parents didn't teach me anything!

the husband and i went to see "house of the dead" the other night, and 30 minutes into it we had to leave because it was so horrible.
rarely have i seen such bad acting outside of a highschool drama performance, and i have never left during a movie.. thing is, i love going to the movies, so it was a major disappointment.
have you seen any good ones lately?
The phone rang on me, after I watched the American Version of the Ring.
I have to say, I don't scare at movies, and that thing TERRIFIED me. I'm not sure why. But, I got to the point where i had to leave the room, and peek around the corner to watch it. EEEK!
That's a freaky *** movie.
divorce lawyers make thousands of dollars every year handling the breakups of over 50% of all the marriages in this country.
children end up being pulled in both ways during drawn-out legal custody battles.
aside from money issues, another big reason people file for divorce is infidelity.
I don't see the point. Unless you're capable of being 100% sure of someone, why get married?
I don't think anyone has the ability to know that the person they are with is 100%, without a doubt "THE ONE". And even, if by chance, you find that person, who's to say you won't break up anyhow?
Divorces are expensive, and messy, and in this day and age, there really isn't a stigma w/ not being married to the person you're with.
That's just my humble opinion, but then, i've never met "THE ONE", so who's to say if i'd change my mind?
have any "faders" ever accidentally "outed" themselves by signing their real name to a post?
i'm really paranoid about that, and often go back and recheck my posts to see if it says "odrade.".

WAIT!!
I'M Brian, too!!! WOW!
Oops, I wasn't supposed to say! Sorry, Odrade!!
Luna (a.k.a. Brian)
suppose that there is an immortal soul that survives death and waits in heaven until the resurrection where it will be united with a new body.. then that would mean that the devil was right in telling adam and eve that they would not die, but rather that god knew that they would live forever.
why didn't god want adam and eve to know?
why didn't he want them to eat of the tree that would give them this knowledge?.
Well, this is assuming that the story of Adam and Eve is true. I, myself, don't buy into it, but going along w/ the theory....
I suppose it would be because God didn't want them to know, because if they knew, they'd be less likely to go along w/ what he told them to do. Kind-of a fear tactic- "do what i say, and you won't get hurt!"
After all, religion is just a way to keep the masses in line....what better way to start out the book at the center of it all? Kind-of fitting.
i have contributed a few posts over the last 24 hours, and keeping with the apparent tradition i guess i should introduce myself.
i am an ex-dubite, after twenty years slaving for the organization.
i decided to call it quits roughly only one year ago this month, after a spur of the moment decision never to go again.
Hi, Makaveli....I'm pretty new here myself, so welcome to the Newbie club.
Sorry to hear your story. Well, glad you got out, but sorry for the circumstances you're in now. It does get better. I've been out about 10 years, but when I first left, I was pretty much in the same situation as you. Lost ALL of my friends, (all my "worldly" friends were in different states for college), and I was all alone. It's really difficult to go from having all these supposed "WONDERFUL" friends, to having them not even look at you in the space of a day. There's a period of adjustment that you go through that you ask yourself if it's worth it, etc.
IT IS!! I have so many "worldly" friends now, and they're so much more understanding, nice and FUN, than any of the uptight and hypocritical witness friends that I had. All the witness friends that had any speck of decency in them aren't witnesses now anyhow, or are working their way out. (Keep an eye out for Odrade. )
Keep your chin up! Things WILL get better, and you'll have a much better life for it.

Oh man.
I forgot about that one.
Yes, that movie is amazing.
Two thumbs up. But, bring Kleen-ex.

well, i'd post my real name and my pic, but I have to think of Odrade. If someone saw ME here, they'd see she's my best friend, and would put 2 and 2 together.....and....D-DAY.
I'll be good, Odrade!
