i'm having a really wierd day today.
for some reason i've been sitting at my computer for about an hour with a strange feeling of needing to get something out of my head and onto the page.
normally i can type it out and feel great relief, but today i can't seem to identify what it is.
Yes, Sirona, thanks for writing about this topic. I really knew very little about "witches"...other than the cut and dry stuff we learned as a JW. This was very interesting!!!
Gretchen: Much like what Princess said, I never would have guessed!!! But, the next time we visit you can check out my energy and I hope it doesn't drain you!!!

note: i was lazy and did not spell check this because it's getting late and i'm tired......
gawd... i forgot just how mind numbing those things are.
you all owe me!!!
Elsewhere: thanks for your report and photocopies!!!
i had quit wearing nail polish because it chips, etc.
but i happened to buy revlon's new "10-day system" for $5.99 for two bottles: the color and the top coat.. i did a french manicure and it has lasted with nary a chip or peel for 7 days now!
and i've scrubbed stuff, done dishes, washed my car and on & on it lasts!.
That is amazing!!!
Welcome
the following is from a previous post.
i post it here again for new persons who may be wondering where else is there to go besides the wt organization.. to where shall i go?
this is a question that many jws seem to have when they are contemplating leaving the wt society.
I was raised as a JW, and got baptized in my teens.
My reason for baptism was as a foot step follower of Jesus.......He was my "model"...he set the basis for baptism...along with a desire to please our "heavenly" father. I did not dedicate myself to an earthly, made-made organization. My loyalty lay with Jesus and his father. So when I learned the truth about the truth(tm) it was clear that it wasn't the true channel of pure worship.
...."to whom shall we go?" I have always been with Jesus.......Just this time, not having a religion being my mediator...I will not ever join another "religion"...I have my Bible, and my dedication and personal relationship with God and his son, Jesus. NObody can take that away from me.

i had my girls over last night for dinner.
during the conversation, we talked about a number of things, in where i detected that they have grown up so much in making decisions for themselves that are totally contrary to the borg beliefs and standards.
the movies they watch, music they listen to, people they hang out with, parties they go to, video games they play.. i have talked to my girls everyday since last week.
I am so "happy" for you!!!
Glad you had a wonderful time with your daughters!!

hello my loyal friends who apparently have little to do in life considering you are reading this thread.
we are in chicago for two days for the brci conference.
brci?
Thanks for the info on that conference. It was interesting to find out there is a hot-number for people exiting the JW's......wow!!
Hope you have a wonderful trip to the west coast!!!
tuesday we had a wonderful visit with the andersons.
sorry we failed to post it until now but i was minutes from sending this yesterday when we drove out of the last sprint cell in central illinois that handled internet service for that day of travel.. .
we did not talk with the andersons much about the lawsuit ?
Glad to hear you had a good time in Tennessee!!! Nice picture!!! Hope the rest of your travels go as well!!!

just got my mail order copy of crisis of conscience... got to chapter 2 in the first 20 mins!!!.
who else has read it, and what are your thoughts ???.
i've enjoyed it so far, and am glad to see how respectful ray franz was in his writing, with no 'outright attacks' on the wtbts.. bull!
It is a "must read"............You read the "real history of the WTBS"........quite different from the Proclaimers book....after the the first couple of chapters...I must say that the JW's are just an offshoot of another religion.......so how could they rightfully claim they are "god's channel"? Of course their "actions" speak for themselves that they are NOT.
Yes, agreed, Ray wrote this in an informative manner, not in any angry tone. I never got to go to Bethel...but now I know what really goes on. I am glad that he wasn't afraid to publish such useful information!
I recommend reading his 2nd book too!
