  I need HELP!!!!!!!!!

  can anyone relate and help with the nagging doubts that it really was the"truth" and we are all doing the wrong thing and being misled.

  i have read a lot of information to sway me from the witnesses and to think it is only a man made religion, but still i fear i could be wrong and going against god.

  how do you all deal with this feeling that surely most have experienced.

  I want you to know you are not alone in how you feel.

  My husband and I have been "fading" for over a year........we too are doing are research. We were both raised in the JW religion as well.

  I think what got me even to "doubt" this religion was the Dateline Special 2 years ago that exposed the WTBS pedophile problem. I sat in horror and I only saw the last 10 minutes. I saw that the WTBS was NO different than the Catholic religion which they put down for years in the magazines. To me that was hypocrisy and I know Jehovah doesn't approve of hypocrisy. I only went in the field service once after that showing, it was too embarassing to be seen with a group of people that are no different than the Catholic Church. I sat there thinking how Jehovah must be hurt to have a group of people "wearing his name" and attaching that name to pedophiles!!!!!!!

  What you have to do in your research Sam, is make a solid difference between religion and the true God. We know the true god doesn't approve of hypocrisy or "lack of love"..........Think about those 2 things while you do your research.

  You will find enough evidence and won't feel guilty about leaving a "religion"...........a religion is "man made"....Remember that Jehovah's favor was removed from the Jews..........because they weren't living up to what HE expected them to do.

  Enjoy your research and don't be afraid to research other than the WTBS publications. When you read only them, you are getting "one side of their story"...

  Not sure where you are from, but I have found it very helpful to meet with some of the posters. For the most part, they are people just like you that want the "real truth" and are good, kind people.

  stuck in!

  well, this is my first post here, and i'm kind of doing it in secret, cause i know if my parents knew of my "poisoning myself with apostates" they would not be happy at all.

  anyways, my story is; i'm 17, i've been brought up "in the truth" my whole life, and now i'm starting to question the wt and christianity in general, and i have nobody to talk to about it.

  i feel awkward about talking to my witness friends about it, cause i worry that if i speak out against the organazition and the wrong people (i.e; young ones around here that would never think of questioning the society) hear about it, it might result in my punishment (reproof or dfing).

  You did a good job expressing yourself and your experience. I feel so bad for you.

  I too, was raised in the truth(tm) but it wasn't till I saw the Dateline Special 2 years ago last may that exposed the WTBS pedophiles that my "rose colored glasses" begin to crack.

  It took me almost a year to do the research outside of the JW box...you know...everything on the internet is "apostate"...or so the JW's want you to think that.

  I do feel you are right. 11 is way to young to get baptized......heck, Jesus was 29 before he did....

  oh well...hang in there. You will find a lot of support here and a lot of kind people that "understand you" and will give you unconditional love.

  Opinions on a letter i am sending my family

  both my mom, dad and sister have asked me to write them with my reasons and concerns for leaving the wts.

  If you were my son, it would surely get my attention and my heart!

  On his previous letter he seemed stuck on the faithful slave providing the "food". Well, where was that slave after the disciples passed away?

  There was no "faithful slave" until Russel or Rutherford....(right?) That was many hundreds of years later. Why would God wait so long to provide a channel for food? (If indeed we need a channel to provide us food?)

  I liked how you added the question about how the faithful and discreet slave have the ability to decide what part of the blood CAN be used, whereas before NONE of it could be used according to the scriptures they quote us. That was very good sound reasoning. I have wondered the same thing. It doesn't add up!

  I can't wait to hear his response....please keep us posted, ok???
