The Cult of Four "Just Imperfect" Men
by Farkel inthe cult of four "just imperfect" men.
(please move on to the next thread, fluffers.

I really enjoyed this Farkel.
I know...I have been a major "fluff" person. Possibly cause I was tired of all those years studying useless books at the meetings!!! Reading WT and Awakes that I could barely read because they were so off the wall and a lot of the writing had NO style and then have to make them some how palitable in "our door to door work". sigh
I have read COC and ISOCF...Which helped greatly with realizing what was behind the WTBS. The Proclaimers Book just doesn't cough up the real truth about its beginnings.
Being raised in the JW religion, we take it for granted it is the truth(tm)....until something tells us we can't be blind to the red flags we have been noticing over the years...
Such as: hypocrisy...Dateline May 2002...I only saw the last 10 minutes where it exposed the pedophile problem within the WTBS...
That was a "defining moment" for me...realizing what I had invested my life in wasn't what I thought it was...They were NO different than ANY religion, in fact, possibly more harmful. (example: prove I was "spiritual I had to give up college and music scholarships!!!) My therapist claim it is the worse religion for us women.....(we never become anything then baby makers and door knockers)
I wish more JW's could read the "real history of the JW's, WTBS"....Of course we know, that the only way they will explore it, is when their "rose colored glasses" become cracked...when the red flags are glarring in their faces.

An Elder Told Me.... Many To Be Disfellowshipped Soon...
by Doubtfully Yours inan elder told me the book is jehovah's latest provision to cleanse his organization.. he said soon all people that have drifted, inactives, and others baptized and not complying with the biblical mandates for a jw, will be visited and given an option to shape up or ship out.. he said that if the person refuses the help offered by the congregation they'll be notified of the date of disfellowshipping and given time to appeal the decision.. he was so happy stating that this way jehovah's organization was preparing for the final clean-up before armageddon.
he sounded so convincing that it almost made perfect sense what he was saying.
i got goose bumps listening to his reasoning.. dy

omg...
All the more reason to NEVER give them your cards.
If you made the mistake like me and hubby and TRIED out the KH and faded (our cards were never sent).....it would be a good reason to RELOCATE and never mention you have been a JW.
I am sick of this supposed Christlike attitude of the JW's.... they are spending more effort on harming people then helping them.
The JW's are like "Hotel California"...you can check out, but you can never leave......(with out them damaging your character)

(((Bryan, wife and new baby)))
Sending you all positive thoughts.
If your wife ends up with a c-section....things will be fine. I had to have one when I had my only child. I was very small, but he had a huge head! Nevertheless, c-section babies are usually more beautifully formed because they don't go thru the trauma of the birth canal. Their heads look perfect! (I think you and others know what I am talking about!).

Are you "Spiritually Sick"???
by JH inwhy is it that a jw is considered "spiritually sick" by the elders and the members of the congregation, if he suddenly decides to stop going to meetings and doesn't see eye to eye with the organization anymore?.
i see people who belong to other faiths, and are very active and seem spiritually healthy, even though they don't believe in what jw's teach.. .
i've been told by elders, that i was "spiritually sick".

I am not "spiritually sick"....I am "spiritually awake".

Breaking ties with toxic people....
by love11 inwhat do you do if your siblings are ex-jw's, but no one is still talking to one another?
i used to live in chicago and i moved back to my home town just to be near my sisters.
my husband had to search high and low for his line of work in this town and loved me enough to move back when he saw how sad i was without them.

Welcome Love
I was so sorry to read this thread. I have to agree with what a couple others have said: your sisters must be "jealous".
A normal, caring person doesn't treat their family member in the ways you have described. I also believe some of my sisters are jealous of me. The signs are evident. But, it is THEIR loss for not treating me like family. I have had one jw sister hang up on me and has never called back or apologized, it has been almost a year now. I will not allow her to treat me in this "toxic way". It hurts to part because we are sisters, but she needs to understand that her actions have reactions. I have to take care of myself. I have to surround myself with people that are positive and make me feel good about "me".
I am very glad to hear you have a husband who can see thru this an knows it is not a "healthy situation" for you.
I hope you can move to some place where you and your husband will be happy and SOON!!!
hugs,
