  My Girlfriend's a JW, but I am not, What to do???

  just wondering if anyone can help, so heres a little insight into the situation.. we've been friens for ages but she always told me we could be nothing more she said "theres stuff you dont know about me & you wouldnt understand" but one night i kinda hinted that i knew and she fessed up not only bout being a jw but also bout how she felt only thing is she says its not gonna work, but she wants it to work she wants me to convert and i want her to leave the orgainization.

  her mothers been a witness for ten years but her father is not.

  also she hasnt paid much attention to it either till a few months ago and shes starting to get into it now.

  I ditto what Nosferatu said....

  When I married Mr. Codeblue we were both active JW's....however...about a year into our marriage he started fading...This caused HUGE problems....because in his wedding vows he said we would serve Jehovah together...Thus in doing so are the 5 meetings a week and field service. (not sure if you are totally aware of the kind of life Jw's have)

  This is both our second marriage....I might add. Both our first spouses where cheaters (both JW's) so we value relationships...in fact, we were so much alike because we tried everything to keep our first spouses...

  So when he started fading I thought our marriage was over....I had to back off of him...I started to see why he was fading...huge issues...

  I decided that I didn't get married to be "alone"...So, I left the issue alone and just worked on our marriage and time together.

  Then I saw the Dateline Special about JW's and child abuse and almost fell off the couch. It disturbed me so much, they tell us the Catholic Church was so bad because they did this, and now we do the same!!! (Hypocrisy---I was highly offended) I am also turned off by the lack of love....(some of the very issues Mr. CB has had). We still want to serve Jehovah...they way he approves, not rules from men that aren't in the Bible.

  If you want to pursue this relationship....just know...you have a lot of issues to deal with, you will need to have open communication and MANY talks to get thru this issue and a lot of LOVE.....Hope all goes well for you.

  My Brother Died Today

  i consider all who post here as my family.we have all been hurt in some way.my brother died today.. blueblades,who has six sisters left.mom,dad,one sister and two brothers died.i'm the only man in the family now.

  I almost fell over in reading your message. My Mom died of Myeloma in 1971. We didn't know till 3 weeks before she died what she had...she had been sick for 2 years before that...She even went to a hospital a year before she was diagnosed (the doctor failed to report a TRACE of cancer). We were all crushed: when we found out what was wrong...they gave her one week to live. She managed to live her last 3 weeks in the hospital. I was only 14...How devastating....her pain was immense during her last few months of life....

  I sure hope you or any of your family or friends are not suffering from this disease. If they are, my prayers are with ya...p.m. if you want, I am here for you.

  i am a jehovah?s witness that has had a lot of doubts the past 5 or 6 months.

  I have a lot of feelings just like you., I was raised in the Truth and gave it 36 years. Was very nervous to look at this site...did it anyways...I found a lot of truth about the Truth with the research here. Nobody is lying here. Everything is documented and you are pointed to other reputable sites.

  The personal experiences that you will read here, will also be of great help. I for one was appalled at the lack of love within the organization. I have travelled and lived all over the US....I have seen personally how the sheep are crying for LOVE but are neglected. That really hurts my heart...We both know Jehovah and Jesus would not approve of his flock being treated in this manner.

  There are many kind people on this board...nobody will expose you, but just remember: do not post anything personal.

  i got my navel pierced after my divorce..........best decision i every made.

  i had to go to a tattoo place to get it pierced and they told me i had the perfect navel for it...heck...i didn't know what they were talking about...i just wanted it done>>>>>>>>>>>> my 18 year old son was with me...eyeing the tattoo designs on all the walls looking for the perfect tatt...my navel healed very fast...and to this day i am proud i did it.....my first bit of rebellion and heck, navel jewelry are cute and fun to shop for!!!.

  Joy...when I got the navel piercing I was in excellent standing...I even showed it to a reg pioneer and she cheered me on saying how "cute" it looked...

  I always thought of it as a "personal decision"...heck..it's not like I was bearing my belly wearing sleezy clothes to make sure all could see my navel in front of all the the KH or in service...

  And after my divorce I wanted to do something for ME...make a statement and had only myself to answer for...it felt GREAT!!!

  tattoos...did you rebel and get one?

  after i left the "troof" the first thing i did was run out and get a tattoo.now ,some 18 years later i still dont regret it.i even have gotten a couple of new ones in the past couple of years......i mean not that i am covered in them,but i think if a women has them ,there is nothing wrong with that has long as they are not all over everywhere.ie...neck,face or lower arms......... i just think it is sexy on a man..( a few....not on the same areas as the women ..ie..face and neck as well.

  ) but for a women to have them all over her is not attractive....i think for a women to have a couple in a suddle place..( like for your partner to see or find.lol) is sexy as well...this girl in our town, has them covering her face and arms.i just think she looks scary......(i do also think that they must be done professionally and kept realistic.

  )...i know your not to judge a book by its cover but, this girl wonders why, parents will not let children to her house to play with her child?
