  Going under "the knife" in about 6 and a half hours.

  well, it's time.

  monday morning the 17th at 6 am i go in for ye ol' hernia operation.

  i asked to be put "out" as i had the option for staying partially awake.

  Just read your post....catching up after being away for a week.

  Hope your surgery goes well....I had a surgery (not the same one as yours..lol) April 5th....so please be sure to take good care of yourself afterwards. That will ensure a "speedy recovery" and a successful on too.

  on thursday i did quit my jw studies...now for a problem i had not thought of.

  many people in the kh have been asking my husband to do odd jobs around their homes.

  he has been doing this for a month for maybe a bit longer.

  I don't think you should have to keep explaining anything to the witnesses. No means NO...after all, there is a scripture that warrants that point!!! (Matt. 5:37: "Just let YOUR workd Yes mean Yes, YOUR NO, No..."

  I take it your husband has never studied? Sharing him info from this board about the pedophile issues and lack of love withing the "fold" should be enough to know "by their fruits" they aren't following Jesus.

  Did you ever actually make a JW convert from the door-to-door work?

  in all the years i went door to door as a jw, i never once had a study who went all the way to baptism.

  in the thirty years i've know my wife -- who has been a jw all this time -- she has never made a single convert from going door to door either.

  is this true of others on this forum?

  Yes...I had one fantastic study....she and her teen daughter were baptized, later her hubby and brother...They all ended up on a circuit assembly part!

  Don't know if they are "active" as they live in a different area than me...we have lost contact.

  I am SO Tired!

  well, i am back from the wine fest.

  i am exhausted.

  we got up at 7:00 am yesterday morning and got the the little town around 10. we met up with everyone and at breakfast and then went to the wineries.

  If you really live in Missouri....I am shocked to learn that Missouri has wineries...wow...just learned something new.

  When we lived in CA is when I really got into wines......we were so close to Nappa and Sonoma Valley....we really miss that!!

  yup... i had forgot how much i enjoyed it until last night, when i kicked back with wifey, watched a movie, and enjoyed the amazing, timeless combination of a good red wine, an amazing cheese, and the simplicity of crackers.. are there any simple pleasures of life that you just love?.

  Having coffee with NOdenial in the mornings is also enjoyable!!!

  well..............i have had my hair many colors........as my friends can attest.. today i went black...dark.. so.. what do you all think of the phases of juls.. which color works best on her???
