The Watchtower's Deceptive Quotations
by metatron infrequently, the watchtower will quote church fathers to try to justify its cult-like version of christianity.
a typical.
example is a recent watchtower that cites tertullian as evidence that christians did not eat blood ( june 15, pg 29).. .

Helping a fellow Jehovah's Witness.
by ScoobySnax ini work on a busy surgical ward in the nhs.
the other morning during handover the night staff handed over that a certain woman in a particular bed was a jw.
her hb was low at 7dgb following surgery etc etc.....and she was just silly for not accepting a blood transfusion.. i spent most of the day busy, but kept a mental note to go and see her in particular, to let her know that i understood where she was coming from.

Glad to hear you could be supportive to her...that is an act of kindness and love.
The world would be a much better place if we could all be that way.
Good job!

by truthbeliever inhello, forum.my name is dallas and i live in oklahoma.i left the jehovahs witnesses in 1998 after a former member showed me the 1925 false prophecy.i knew circuit overseer william osbeck very well,he left my circuit only to be replaced with brother"if you knock the society i will scream"boatz.he was nothing but a first class coward.he wouldnt even meet with me after i had disassociated myself.i have no regrets about leaving, why didnt my conducters bring up the 1925 failure while i was studying?they failed to mention it.anyway i am glad to be free.god bless you all.-dallas

Karissa you are a lot like me...always feeling sorry and giving the extra mile to someone else.
When people ask me now about relationships, I prefer the Dr. Phil method: Do not invest any more than you are willing to loose.
Looking at that statement...you gave and what did you get back for your investment of love to this guy???
You know the answer.
You wouldn't keep investing in a stock market if you never got a return would you? If you kept loosing money...you would bail out..
A healthy relationship should fill each other's "emotional needs" (or bank)....
Please take care of yourself..........this man isn't a "real man".....he is cheating on his wife, and not even coming CLEAN, and he is deceiving you and not coming clean...also his congregation he attends. Who knows what else he has cheated on....maybe he has more lovers???? Maybe he has more credit cards out and is soon to go bankrupt. You can't trust a deceiptful person....If they are deceiptful in one area they are deceitful in all.
That is a startling fact. But reality...My ex was same in his life when he was with me...always "several" women on the side. Heck, after the elders got thru with him, they told me there were more infidelities than what he told me....
Please take care of yourself...

Ozzie's Weekend Poll #97 (Worldly people)

my excuse is we were stuck up a mountain on the southern ranges.
a glorious view though, so that was some compensation.

1 Corinthians 15:33...was always told to us at the meetings. I was afraid to be around them...I did however, choose to visit my "worldly relatives" anyways........
Can't trust a "worldly person"....they are bad....they don't look after you like the "brothers" do.
Well...I moved to another area of the US and all of that proved to be a LIE..........
The truth is the "brothers"s didn't look after me and couldn't be trusted.......my so called "worldly neighbors" and workmates cared a bout me more....What a big lesson that was!!!

No I didn't see the point in reading them cover to cover...."read god's word daily" was the logo I grew up on..." wtbs stuff ran 2nd...of course, because of that I wasn't very popular and seen as "unspiritual"...(How I dislike pompous so-called spiritual people)

wow........we know he lies..........
Don't trust this man...he may have told you his wife knows...but based on his previous "lies"...you don't know that he has really told you the truth???
You are not being vindictive........you want him to be accountable for his actions....
As a MOM...we teach our kids that actions have reactions..(I raised 2 boys)..Make this dude accountable......or he will never learn...
Just my 2 cents...from a person that was abused by a liar, cheater, and adulterer!!!

cocktails/mixing drinks
by baysixforme ini went to a bbq the other night and had a couple of glasses of white wine before being offered a white rum with black pepper.
i knocked back two of those...not particularly large ones either and that was it...i was somewhere else!.
the good part about it was that i was with some good friends who were able to take care of me....the bad part was that i could hardly remember anything the next day.
