My Grandad died this morning

the last grandparent i had died this morning.. .

he was such a great guy.

was in the raf in wwii and went to iraq and other places but didn't really talk much about the war.

July WT. Contradicts Itself Regarding "Unbelievers"

i was reading the july wt.

at my mother's yesterday and the qfr asked about who should and shouldn't be viewed as an "unbeliever".

if a person was attending meetings and might even be an "unbaptized publisher" they should not be considered an "unbeliever".

....all's I can think of are the Scribes and Pharisees that added more "rules" and went "beyond" what was written.

JWs--cult or am i just bitter?

after reading many experiences and comments on the board, i have begun to have questions.

questions that i really didnt know i until i read them.

as a recently df'd person, i am still struggling with whether jws are really a cult or is it just that im bitter for being torn away from the only thing that i knew, where i had friends that i thought loved me.

The answer lies in study: Steve Hassan has written 2 books about Mind control. I have just read both of them. The first book: "Combatting Cult Mind Control"....never mentions JW's...yet in examination of what is a cult.........you will come to your own conclusion. I think that is the best way to determine.

I am sorry you are going thru such anguish in your life. I have went thru mine, not df'd...just a person who wants to serve god the true way.....distraught over the Dateline Special 2 years ago that identified the WTBS as having 6,000 lawsuits, pedophile lawsuitts, against them....A very shocking evening for me......It was truly a "defining moment" for me.

Would you still love Him in the now?

many believe in god and that when we die we go to be with him and live forever.

but what if this life is all there is, and god in the end, has no plans for you in eternity.

Well now..........hmmmm...I am a parent...given life to a child......I love that child...but I have NO future for my child, no guarantees, other then I love my child.....Does my child still love me..........YES>.........

For that reason I still love God............he is my heavenly father.........

we are broke down.

three days into our trip and we had a blow out on a front tire while joy was driving at 63 mph.

she got us stopped and we started phone calls to get back going again.

i have been calling my kids for some time now.

i am moving far away soon, and since i haven't had any contact with my daughters, i called them to let them know i was moving, and would like to say goodbye, before i flew away.

weeks went by, as ususal, and no response.
