My daughter was just in an accident
by Puternut ini just had a call a couple of hours ago from my ex.
she said my youngest daugher was in a bad car accident.
i asked her what happened, and told me that she was just pulling out from the drive way, and made a left turn.

Organization Unnecessary?

"beware of 'organization.
' it is wholly un-necessary.

Sunspot: I recall reading that quote when I read COC.
Since the WTBS was formed, they have indeed added their "own rules" making the word of God invalid by their "traditions".....why can't they see that??????

Yes, you have come along way since January 7, 2004.............your first post here!!!
Actually, your world has done a 180 in 6 months!!!
And like Sassy said, I knew good things would happen to you...........I recall encouraging you to move because you felt all your "doors" had been closed.
And now look at the brand new door: because you are willing to enter you have more than a dream...you have an exciting new life, in paradise with Octavia. Your daughters have reclaimed you. You are right: things can't be much better!!!
Congratualtions!!!
I am so happy for you!!! (also glad that you aren't in a sailboat possibly getting eaten by sharks and running out of merlot before the next port!!!).....
Hugs,

Face it - some people WANT to be a JW!
by Dawn inafter many many conversations with my family i've come to the conclusion that some people just want to be a witness.
they need that security of being told all the answers - of having their decisions made for them - and the tight social group they're involved in.. the truth is - it's much harder when you don't have all the answers and you have to think for yourself.
i guess some people just aren't ready to face that.

A lot of people understand there are consequences for just not wanting to be a JW after learning the truth about the truth(tm)....even though it compromises their integrity. Huge consequences....
They find it simpler to keep their built in friends and don't want to be "shunned"...they can't fathom how to "start over"...it is a fear that has been instilled since every meeting. They fear without the meetings they will "die at Armageddon). The mind control has worked!
Funny thing...when we study with people before baptism, we tell them that is what their family will do to them when they study with JW's...it's reverse situation!
When they are ready to learn the truth about the truth(tm), when their rose colored glasses come off.....will be a "defining point" for them. It could be a very simple act of unkindness or some major tradegy in their life when they didn't receive the "love" they were promised.

TD: thanks for your help....I am still wondering where my copy would be...
If you could...find out if in 1974, there were any questions saying that we were dedicating ourselves to the WTBS...
As I recall, it was to be a footstep follower of Jesus....and a dedication to Jehovah to do his will in modeling his son Jesus.
Thanks!!!
